Hi, I'm building the 1980 LM european university car from the Hiro kit, but need some help with period pics of these cars (it seems the Hiro kit has several errors). Does anybody have anything? the web is littered with restored cars en 'recreations'but what ever happened to these blue cars? Sudesh

Here is one of the European University cars in later livery. This was taken at Daytona when the car was campaigned by TIDE racing. It is now in the collection of Tommy Hilfiger executive Lawrence Stroll. Image Unavailable, Please Login
thanks again! If anyone's interested in what i'm rectifying in the kit the list is as follows: exterior: the side intakes need reshaping and strakes added engine: the rear frame is too high and looks to be of the wrong configuration, the top rails need to be lower (this messes up the shocks etc aswell) the engine is mounted way to high. On te interior, does anybody know if the car had a front cage, and if this was welded to the A-pillars?
Actually, Model Factory Hiro has the car correct. If you add the later square vents to the car it will NOT be correct for the #75 car which ran at LM in 1980 and the car the model is suppsed to be. The #76 and #77 cars had the square intake with the strakes for LM80. Sincerely, Ed Cervo Island Collectibles, Inc www.islandcollectibles.net PS: If you look in the book by Dominique Pascal "Ferrari At LeMan" on page 139 you can see it pretty clearly
Well I'm doing the 76 car so i'm safe there (and the intakes have already been modified anyway..*grin*)
They're not from nr 76, but I hope it well help you. Anyway, a pic of a BB LM is a good pic http://www.grabx-art.be/brol/ferraridays05/images/Ferrari%20Days%202005%20152.JPG http://www.grabx-art.be/brol/ferraridays05/images/Ferrari%20Days%202005%20154.JPG http://www.grabx-art.be/brol/ferraridays05/images/Ferrari%20Days%202005%20158.JPG http://www.grabx-art.be/brol/ferraridays05/images/Ferrari%20Days%202005%20396.JPG http://www.grabx-art.be/brol/ferraridays05/images/Ferrari%20Days%202005%20398.JPG http://www.grabx-art.be/brol/ferraridays05/images/Ferrari%20Days%202005%20404.JPG http://www.grabx-art.be/brol/ferraridays05/images/Ferrari%20Days%202005%20442.JPG http://www.grabx-art.be/brol/ferraridays05/images/Ferrari%20Days%202005%20441.JPG http://www.grabx-art.be/brol/ferraridays05/images/Ferrari%20Days%202005%20506.JPG http://www.grabx-art.be/brol/ferraridays05/images/Ferrari%20Days%202005%20507.JPG Bigger if wanted

but I am wondering if you guys could help me on this. I am extremely tempted to make a 1/18 512 BB Comp. Sadly, I cant find anything on the net except for one pic I found on barchetta.cc.. Anyone got more pics of this car? Interior, exterior, engine... basically anything is good! Thanks! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks again to everybody that responded, I still am looking for naked pics of the cars, things like brake 'hats' and such, closeups of the injection system etc.... Is there a good book on this car, I get the feeling this is a bit of a forgotten racer.
