How to block restricted numbers?

    Hey guys-

    I get random calls, maybe one a week, all restricted numbers from people who are just ABSOLUTELY creepy.. I know it's possibly to block all restricted numbers but don't know how to do it.

    I'm using a Verizon cell btw.

    Kenny...

    My voicemail used to be set up where I told people to leave a message - and that if they were calling from a blocked number, they should leave their name and number or call back with their number visible... I guess *67 doesn't work on cell phones...? Never tried it...

    I still don't pick up blocked calls and all my friends call me from visible numbers...

    Funny I was getting all '0's on my caller ID for about a week... Finally when I answered it was 'pitney bowes' trying to sell me a mail meter... I was so flippin pissed b/c I didn't think telemarketers could spam your cell phone...

    Kenny sorry to hear about the problem. Is it just me or are a lot of people on Fchat getting prank calls?

    Hahha small world :). This was the only picture I could find on the net that I liked of a red merlot Z4 (was before I got the car)..


    Oh, and I called Verizon Wireless and at this time, they do not have the software to block restricted numbers.. However, LAN lines do. Doesn't help me..

    Thats bizzare with my new cingular phone i get people from resticted numbers who just yell into the phone in spanish for about 30 seconds then hang up.

    If you posted your pic on the net, did you not think it would be copied by someone? I would consider it flattery. And since obviously you dont post here much if at all why do you care? It is just a car and it is not like it is on a porn site or used disrespectfully or something like that.

    Nope, it's no joke. I got a rude email from her (him?) before:


    Unbelievable.. She even reported me to Rob Lay and requested that I get banned.

    As previously explained, I used the picture as my avatar as I picked up an identical Z4 and didn't have a decent picture of it. I'd be happy to remove it (when I get back from my california/arizona trip) but there are several other ways to go about asking me to- SHE ASKED ROB TO BAN ME BEFORE EVEN ASKING ME TO TAKE IT DOWN!! lol

    Guess she's new to the net? BS..

    Just a clarification: 1) the photographer would hold the copyright to that pic, not the car owner (though they might be the same), 2) as I understand US law, a copyright exists to any created work whether it is declared or not, previously published or not, and 3) regardless, there seems to be little unique about the pic to warrant the fuss.
