Beautiful car. Yellow cars rule!!!!!!!!!!! Enjoy!
Congrats! You're right. I sold my 911 (993) before buying the 328. From the minute you slip into the Ferrari cockpit you're in another world. You almost don't need the gauges to tell you how everything's going back behind your head or under the tires. The car tells all, and everywhere you look there's some amazing detail you missed the last time.
Aw, man - it's raining today! Well, at least my ride last night gave me my intitial fix. My road is 25 mph, the next is 35mph, a few miles down the road it turns to 45 mph, then onto the nearly deserted interstate... All the while the symphony of mechanical synchronicity was going on behind my head. It was a bit nippy, so I kept the top on, but had the windows down for most of the trip. There was little traffic on the roads, so I could get used to the car without making too much of a spectacle for the surrounding cars, but that yellow sticks out even at night, as I discovered when I was slowing considerably before a light (taking it easy as I get used to this particular gearbox,) and the only other car on the road was in my adjacent lane, slowing at exactly the same rate in order to get a better look. My short review: 328 + 4500 rpm = Big Grins
It's such a rush to get your first car. I wish the excitement would stay at that level. Have a good time and enjoy.
Now, don't let that stop you! I've had the 355 out all day in the rain, salt, and mud. Tomorrow's supposed to be nice, so I'll wash the grime off then. Heck, I may even take it thru a CAR WASH!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh, NOW you tell me! Let me guess, the 328 was the car you used to take offroading to the ski lodge, and you had it repainted yearly at Earl Scheib and just bought a load of "Glasurit" stickers to hide the fact! Just kidding - the car looks great!
Excellent car, can't wait to see it. Don't forget about our GP viewing and poker run on March 12th, you think you had fun on the roads in SC, just wait until you see the route for hte poker run. 90 miles of twisty deserted roads promising of white knuckle excitement. Wade
OH CRAP, did you find the receipt from Earl Scheib under the seat?? And, for the record, I never took the 328 thru any car wash! And it was only driven in the rain when... uh... I... uh... drove it in the rain.
congrats on a fine looking car. Mine is red, but I think that yellow really shows off the lines of the car just as well (it was my second choice). When I got mine last Nov. I had to go for a ride every chance I got. 3 months and 3,000 miles later, I still have a smile on my face. Enjoy the ride.
