Yep Ferrari apparently now DO use focus groups in the design process, for the $5.99 they must have used a group comprised of Lexus, Corvette and hyundia enthusiasts
Tru dat. One of the problems with focus groups is that you're not dealing with people spending their own money. A good example is all the whinning going on about the new 599 from people who will never be able to afford one. I have talked to a number of Enzo owners, and they all rave about how the car drives. Funny, I don't recall any comments that they thought it looked like sex on wheels. Dale PS I'd give my right and left nut, all my children, and my wife for a brand new Ferrari that looked like a Cal Spyder. Oh mama. Life could end right there.
Jim, as you will be the owner of the design, as well as the only one on existence, would you consider allowing another one (or more) to be built by PF using your design for someone else who has a donor Enzo at hand? It could be the start of a whole new direction for you. Henrik Fisker, eat your heart out!
Maybe everybody Jim has been kind enough to show the pics to has been sworn to secrecy, but I have to say if I had the money to get one I would (have already asked if it would be OK if I sold my house to get one, apparently it wouldn't ), It looks like a proper Ferrari.....elegant, curvacious yet still aggresive
i finally read this thread in full the other day, and all i have to say is damn. congrats for you Jim, thats awesome that youre pursuing something you truly want. go balls deep.
As you drive up into the mountains you begin to understand why they build Ferrari's. The ancient roads that wind through the forests and villages, bordered by stone walls that bounce back the sound of glorious V-12's. The coffee that is unlike other coffee. 800 KMS of ski able terrain. The 72 million euro luge track. The Americans rocking the half Pipe. The engineering that does not stop when the sun sets. The Grand Canal that Tuner painted. The computer modeling of P 4/5's interior. The Passion. The Olympic motto is "Where Passion Lives". Turino and Pininfarina are truly where Passion Live.
AHHHHHHHHH show the Pics PLEEEEEZZZ if you wont give in to that request plese when is the date you will show them how many days is it realy that good
That work is just starting. Everything is being documented and will be available at some point but not for a while.
I heard/read some where that there will be some big Ferrari surprise on Geneva auto show but NOT on the Ferrari stand... interesting
I know absolutely nothing about what is going on here, but from reading a good few pages of this thread it sounds like something very good.
Note to self: "Make sure I'm in Pebble Beach this year" Napolis, I can't wait to see your finished project!!!
