Sorry. 160 in the 360 spider, and 176 in the 360CH, but both on the track (Pocono).

Quick question. How do you people drive this fast and not feel like you're about to die? I've taken my BMW to about 110 and I'd be scared going much faster.

140 MPH down the 405 (San Diego) freeway and I was being chased by a CHP pursuit car. I pulled over and the cop said he'd just had his Mustang tuned up and his speedo said 140 but he couldn't go any faster so thanks for pulling over.

Probably have the slowest times but then again I have only been driving for a tad over a year.

Lincoln Town car - 85mph (speedo doesn't read higher)
Chevy Suburban - 100-101mph it was legitimate I was rushing a friend to the hospital and it would not go faster.
GMC Envoy - 105-107mph topped out one day to see what it could do.

Hopefully I will be able to top out an F-car one day.

As a passenger I was going 150+ in a modified Cougar.

260 kph... in a Porsche 911 driven between Stuttgart and Zuffenhausen... by a test driver ... back in 89.. that was fun... totally pouring with rain, and sleet.. it was rock steady, but scary as hell!

    150 + in a 1965 396 Corvette coupe---in 1965!

135 in 1988 328 GTB (my first Ferrari)

    140+ in 1995 F355B (second Ferrari)

120+ in 1972 Daytona (current car) -- but hey, I haven't had it that long and I'm in the process of refurbishing suspension, wheels and brakes before going any faster!

I've read on the boards somewhere about an Enzo during the Gumball going over 220mph.

178 mph in my Testarossa.... yesterday. ...again tomorrow I think.. But the Testarossa isn't as rock solid stable at such speed, real firm grib is needed; Lotus Esprit is better at same speed.

155 in a 355 Berlinetta---the late Ed Martinez was behind the wheel at TWS.
150 in an F50 (Boy was that fun) at the same track.

and 160+ in a Lotus Esprit TTv8---out on the open road. That was not as much fun, haha!

I have noticed that up to 100 or so my 90 TR is as smooth as glass- cross that line and the s-wheel begins bouncing like a 2 dollar ho. I have had the tires re-balanced and the front end checked. I have put different tires and wheels on too. No change. Is this normal???? If not, any suggestions on what to check next. My 93 mustang cobra is currently a better high-speed car.
