Look at this dumbass. I found this in the Shuttle Trader. 1995 Space Shuttle replica, hand built on stretched Appolo chassis. Rebuilt and tuned Appolo rockets, Original style "United States" stickers and flag from the NASA retail store. Handles great and no one knows that it is a replica. I have other replicas that I am working on like the USS Enterprise and the Russian Sputnik so contact me at the Downtown Los Angeles McDonald's if you are interested. $10 bagillion or best offer. If it doesn't sell before the return of Christ I am going to Ebay so act fast. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Napolis just picked up Atlantis and has engaged Pininfarina to "reimagine" it. I saw a few pictures and I must say, it is way beyond anything Rockwell has designed. I had to put up my kids as collateral which I lose if I share the pics with anyone. Good news is that he will be displaying it at the International Space Station in August if anyone will be there, they should check it out.
My friend has an old X-Wing fighter that will smoke anything out there. He is running dual Flux Capasitors on it, and has a Mr. Fusion on the button. I don't care how fast your space ship is because "once this baby hits 88.6 mph, your gonna see some serious sh...........". He will be at the finish before you can even put your thrusters a full blast. I don't care what kind of warp drive your running nothing ever beats he ship. He can even pull out of black holes is so fast. Right now he's building an other X-wing that has a Ludicrous Speed Hyper Drive and will run a 150 shot of kryptonite in it. The best the about X-Wings is that they are cheap and run forever.
Why do people do that??!? For all that effort and money, one could get the REAL DEAL and not have to be ridiculed on a daily basis. The shut lines don't line up and the landing lights are cockeyed. It looks retarded! Some people, I tell you. Just buy a real shuttle and be done with it.
For a 1/10th the price a company does a Corvette conversion. you get the shuttle bling AND save on the price & upkeep... They did this for the old Miami Vice series and very few people could tell... I think i saw the ACTUAL one Don Johnson drove on the series on ebay... or was it a dealership in Lauderdale.... ? GT Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hey stugots, are you related to the greek shipping tycoon latses (sp?). I ask b/c "Stugots" is the name of a giganitic private ocean liner in greece. A friend of mine dined on it in the 80's when he worked for the state department.
And another one here as well I was reading on another website that they have one down in Florida somewhere that was a "classified project" and this agency ran out of funding so they're trying to sell it. From what I heard it's pretty damn fast... it'll do the Kessel Run in less than 12 parsecs. I think it's fast enough for ya old man... Shannon
Your going to need to get a better sound system, the stocker sounds like crap. If I was you I would lower it about an inch and paint the rims. Also how much are you planning on driving it? If you think you have yourself a daily driver your wrong, the cost will eat you alive. Consider getting a lunar Lander with your budget just in case you run into any unexpected costs.
I will never become a geeks ... btw, you spelled Corellian wrong =P and regarding the space shuttle, the seats aren't comfortable for more than 5 hours of flight time and it doesnt even come with it's own flight suits!!!!! and to top it off, the key looks dumb
I was surfing back through the archives and came across this thread, It was a laugh a couple of years ago, so I figured I'd bump it for the newer people that haven't seen it....
I wouldn't consider buying a used shuttle right now. I want to know when the new generation will be introduced, at the Intergalactic Transport Expo. The old shuttles will drop like a rock (isn't that how they re-enter the atmosphere, anyway?). I also want to inquire how much of a deposit will secure me a slot (either for a purchase, or a ride to the ISS). Fred
You can't really take out a Space Shuttle and really experience what it's capable without the authorities catching you on radar. So for normal use a Space Shuttle is no fun. I mean, just look at how The Mayor couldn't get his out of Las Vegas to fly over Area 51 and the Nevada Test Site. He's traded his in for a F117 Stealth bomber. I mean, everyone knows that Stealth bombers like a B2 or F117 offer a true performance experience as you can stay off the radar and really get sporting. See "why I'm done with NASA and Space Shuttles" thread that went on for 1,000 pages.
