saw a detomaso pantera today. looked and sounded fabulous...but the exhaust fumes were putrid!

Forgot to mention, saw a yellow Dino yesterday heading east down The Parade.

 

There's a rumour a blue Diablo is moving in around the corner from my place. I hope I can report the first spotting. Also, my dealer says another Gallardo has arrived from Victoria this month in the next suburb over.

I saw alot of cars today,
Saw a 308 or 328 excuse my ignorance, but the thing is just sitting under plastic at bankstown airport, dont think it ever gets driven.
Then i went to a dealer that sells second hand cars and there was a nice 360 spyder, 328 GTS , 308GTSi x2 , lotus elan 911 Turbo , good day

 

park your car (the G) out on the street for a few nights and I'm sure any soon-to-be Lambo owner will make himself known once he sees it.

 

That would be fun on the weekends mhh. 3 Lambos tearing it up! Awesome

 

Jon, those Lakeside days were great fun except that unfortunate day you speak of, as I remember it Jerry D spun mid corner right in front of me and I made the cardinal sin, instead of heading straight for him, he would most likely have been gone from my path by the time I got to him, instead I backed off too far and tried to steer away from him and the rest is history, although a nice ‘Hardluck Trophy’ from the Qld organisers.

The AFR was a great club in those days, lots of track days in NSW, then the show & shine guys took over and the FTD track trophies came from Kellogg’s packets and the Concourse trophies were solid 24k gold. Seems to me it should have been the reverse.

I have fond memories of the many national rallies around Australia and the days spent at Lakeside with Cameron testing and setting up my car. You and I shared a few of those early FTD’s on the Maranello Perpetual Trophy as I recall.

Tony F is a super nice guy, but there is why they are only the good 'old' days, old being the operative word.

 

Yep Cars Autohaus, hes had that 360 in the front window for ages, but i had never been inside to today. It was a nice change to look at pretty cars

 

and he's had the 308 there for a while,does he still have the 3 F-cars in the window or has he moved them.

 

My dad said on Friday he saw a couple handfulls of Ferraris at the St. Kilda yacht club here in Melbourne, which were leaving the car park at around 11 am. He said that there were more Daytonas there than any other sort, which brings me to ask: what's the Daytona population like around here? I regularily see other sorts of Ferraris, but a Daytona is - for me - a special sight, yet here there were appartently 5+.

Also spotted a black/tan F355 spyder in Black rock, again, at around 11 pm on Friday.

 

You mean the window you can see from main road??, theve got the 360 in the middle of a old bentley and rolls royce, then theres another line which is porsche and the 308 and that.

red 360 - 'CCCXL' plate on North Rd, Ormond. Same one that was at Bentleigh Safeway the other night.

Nice. Did you hear the exhaust note? Those pretty pipes make a pretty noise.

 

Unfortunately he took off very gently (the wife/gf was in the car) so I didn't get to hear it in all its glory.

 

Yeah, He's a great bloke, had a lot of fun times in the 90's!
