Good luck! Why not the chewing gum "Nicorette"? BTW, I have a buddy (urologist) who's saving all the foreskins he removes. Yeah, hes going to make them into a gum for homosexuals trying to quit. He'll call it "Dicorette". (Groan)
A friend of mine was a 2 pack a day chain smoker. he quit smoking by taking some prescription drug that his doctor recommended. his doctor said that if this didn't make him quit NOTHING will... I'll find out what he took. I believe it was a drug to treat something completely different, but doctors found out that patients that took it lost the urge to smoke. he never smoked again.
Welbutrin (?) or Zyban most likely, I tried it last year, it worked pretty well but I couldn't get over the last hump - I was still at 1-3 cigs/day and couldn't get rid of them - at $99/month for the prescription, I figured I needed a better way (plus as soon as I stopped the meds, the craving came back 100%, probably because I couldn't get all the nicotine out of my system). Cold laser will be tried soon, I've had a bunch of people say it worked when all else had failed, so I figure it can't hurt to try!
This place smells better already! I'm a former smoker myself... I went out and bought 100 packs of sugarless gum and chewed on that for 3 months (probably ODed on Sacarin or whatever it was called). But it worked great for me. Good luck!
I'm trying to call the bastad now. All I know is that he stopped smoking. real dramatic to see. this was a guy that ALWAYS had a smoke in his mouth. I'll get back to you guys on this one.
I quit in 86. Got in the plane, on the way to Mexico. Forgot the cigarettes. Decided that if I could go 4 hours, I could quit. Still have some of the smokes I left behind, never had a cigarette again. If you make up your mind, you've quit, you're done. If you think you're going to try, you've lost the battle. Art
Thank you guys....This patch works great. John have you noticed you get some ****ed up dreams when you sleep with the patch. I was bugging out. I read the directions and it says its normal.....weird
