I read somewhere that left-handed people werent trusted for centuries because they could stab you with their left hand while they shook hands with you with their right. Thats not a problem if your right-handed. Get it?

FYI I'm left-handed so you better watch out :)

I know my cousin went to the middle east in the army, he said the same thing.

Its considered rude to shake with your left, give/recieve money with your left hand etc etc because its common practice to wipe your a** with your left hand. Thus its considered dirty by many cultures. Also for some reason they view toilet paper just as disgustingly as we view their whole a** hand thing. Dont ask me why...

Yes, it's true - touching someone 'anywhere' with your left hand is considered taboo at least in the Middle East. When I was working in Saudia Arabia, I read up on the culture and business etiquette and this was pointed out.

When I talk, I use my hands (being Italian, it's shocking I know), and I touch. A push here, a slap there, etc. I had to becareful not to touch my Arab counterparts with my left hand - it would be an insulting act.

Why? Because in that part of the world (and probably other parts) it is customary to use the left hand to wipe your butt after taking a deuce, and typical bathroom supplies are far and few between. "Don't squeeze the Charmin" is not well known there.

I also realized that if you wanted to use the bathroom before lunch, you better do it before the mid-day prayer - the bathrooms get soooo messed up prior to prayer time.
