my need for speed seems to run out at about 155mph which i have done in several porsche's and a couple sportbikes.
will usually hit more than 100mph everytime i take my car out

 

Yep, but here that's just a necessity to merge onto Sheikh Zayed Road!

 

well i think i'll be part of the rare and exclusive Granny Club: i've managed to make it to nearly 90mph in my 308! woohooooo!

165 indicated in my 328GTB, on a Farm to Market road in Texas, years ago...speedo was optimistic, to say the least(3500 ft. altitude, bit of throttle left to go).
Kinda dumb, but at the time got the old blood pumping.

Many time ~150 indicated, some nice little stretches around here to wind it up, then shut-R-down...

 

I've been a passenger in several Ferraris while at speeds of about 145 - 150. Last week I was a passenger in a new BMW M5 that did 150mph. I got a photo of us at about 143mph.

I've been 189mph in a modded 1994 Toyota MR2 which is kind of a rip off 355

 

I hit 198MPH (actual) on a modified Kawasaki ZX12R. Bike speedos are way off and the speedo was pegged at 220MPH.

I have seen just under 190MPH (actual) on my MV agusta.

Just over 180MPH (actual) in a heavily modified C5 Corvette.

Fastest in a Ferrari would be my F430 spider, just over 150 MPH (indicated), on the longest straight at the race track. That speed is pretty uneventful in the 430, even with the top down.

 

310 km in a little downhill, 3 lines no one in the road at about 10 km.........this night !

265kph (160mph) down a hill with a tail wind in a rented S-class Mercedes on the autostrada with my wife asleep in the passenger seat. Before she went to sleep she made me promise not to go above 100mph. She woke up, looked at the speedo and freaked. It was a very silent ride for about an hour after that...

Got my first car - a Renault LeCar - up to about 90 going down a hill. The thing wanted to take off and fly. Absolutely no steering above 80.

Took my Mondial 3.2 cabriolet to 145 once a while back - rock steady and still accelerating.

 

220kms in a 80 zone of an industrial area. Was enough fun. (360 spider).

 

250 Kmh in the Stradale keeping up with a 550 Barchetta

 

Few weeks ago 320 km/h in my mate's Audi RS4 (chipped from 380 to 425hp).
Faster than we menaged with his 360spider a few times.

My 348 does 285 on the speedo. Speeds we can do several times as the german border is about 55 km from my house.

really? BMWs are great freeway cruisers.

You must take a ride in 12 cylinder BMW. 110 feels like 60. smooooooth.

at 100mph the 850i closes it 's windows automatically and locks the doors.

check out E31.net, there is a video of an 850CSI sustaining 188mph on the autobahn.

Now that is fast.
