While I may be a clown, I'm not showing off a BONG. I'm showing off a bubbler. And he who should be banned is he who discussed smoking some kind of drug out of it. This piece is not illegal. Like someone said earlier it's like posting a picture of "My New Gun". Except soooo not as bad. Come on guys let's be realistic here.
Well what do you do with a BUBBLER???? I guess it is purely for decoration. Have never owned one--I usually am on the arresting end of these things---Enlighten me!!!!
lol. you're... a kid cooperating with authorities... well i'll be damned if youre popular at school. anyway, this is my last post on this thread. the WRONG people are posting on it and frankly I'm starting to miss my bubbler. who knew it would make so many people mad? a bubbler, making people mad. something isnt quite right about that. youre all compatriates with good ol' Rummy, eh? figures. haha..ill warn my parents about the raid! just make sure they come on the weekend, when theyre not at work. in the meantime, i'll be where I live. admiring a certain recent art acquisition. PEACE!
Not to hijack the thread any worse, but did you do a controlled burn at the academy too? Do they ever do them for you for in service training?
Basically, as part of training, LE instructor's will burn marijuana for the trainees so they can smell it. This way the officer can testify that they smelled marijuana and/or burnt marijuana if they make an arrest or search a person as a result of the odor. This way they have a more credible basis for their search, rather than "I smelled something that I thought was marijuana, but I've never smelled marijuana, so I was just guessing."
While in the police academy, the instructors burn marijuana in a can. We then have to smell it to know what the smell--smells like. We smell it before burn and after. We then can use that as our experience when making taffic stops, etc. If I approach a car and smell that smell, it gives me more than reasonable suspicion, I now have probable cause to go further with the investigation....
It is interesting to me that on this, a Ferrari site--which is mainly composed of relatively successful people (or at least those who are upwardly mobile)--Marijuana/hash are viewed unfavorably, while Scotch/wine/tequila. etc. are 'accepted' and even viewed as 'luxuries' to be savored. I think that says something regarding the choices we all make in our lives. On a construction site, I do NOT want a 'pot' smoker anywhere near me, but I will gladly accept someone who drinks alcohol. That is how it is. American industry/insurance agrees with me, that is why there is 'drug testing'; and that is why many insurance co.'s require it. You college students are welcome to 'smoke' yourselves into oblivion--I don't care--but when you get into the 'real' world, better be prepared for rejection. As an aside, I've seen many more lives ruined by drugs than I've seen by alcohol.
Random Thoughts: The fact that something is more accepted doesn't make it "right". What people say and what they do behind closed doors can vary widely. Successful people do use drugs of all kinds. Taking it to the extreme, does Dalorean ring a bell with any? I'd be interest to see hard data on injuries related to marijuana consumption vs. alcohol consumption. My personal experience has been that I have seen more injury related to alcohol consumption than pot; Is alcohol really a safe drug?. There are medicinal uses for marijuana. "Drugs" is a very broad term. I consider crack and heroin much more dangerous than pot. I've seen very few people's lives destroyed by marijuana smoking. Because alcohol is "legal" doesn't make it any safer than marijuana, IMHO. If you are on a construction site, you shouldn't use any drugs, legal or not. Everything has risks associated with it. Life is about making choices and managing risk. Don't drink and Drive; don't smoke and drive; Just say no to Crack! Image Unavailable, Please Login
The 'bottom line' (pun intended!) is that I can suss someone who has been drinking way quicker than I can someone who has been smoking. Give me a 'drinker' any day on a site where my safety depends on those around me.
You may change your mind in 6 years when your old enough to drink Noah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
