Am I the only one who doesn't care...

Not only don't I watch the Oscars, I don't even go to the movies. If it's any good it will turn up on free to air broadcast TV in a few years, and if I never go to the movies, then the ones on TV are first-run for me.

Actors make so much money because people voluntarily pay to see them. So just don't.

 

I hope they do win.... I'm still waiting for the DVD to "come out". bad pun... I can't wait. Radbod told me he cried at the end...so sad...

Not me ... I cringe when I hear these people whose job it is to talk, enuciate, communicate, etc come across on Oscar night like stoned teenagers ... one part weeping, one part mumbling, four parts confusion. Makes my toes curl listening to them.

I havent seen an Oscar for ages.

One of the best acceptance speeches that I witnessed was John Lithgow (Third Rock from the Sun) at an Emmy where he said that he was in a unique position as he had the good fortune of working with and learning from the other four nominees on separate movies. He praised each of them and said this award was as much theirs as his and then wound up his speech in less than 2 minutes ... short, poignant and awesome unlike the others that resemble a babbling brook who need to be strong-armed out of the podium.

So, I click on Google News... As it turns out, the show was last night. Darn. Missed it again. But, it gives me an idea...

 

No, I hate all of those stupid award shows.

 

Yawn.. not very exciting at all. i got better things to do with my time - rather than hearing who won a stupid award...

While eating dinner last night at the bar, one of the televisions had the awards on... I noticed a commercial for Coca Cola Blak - anyone else see it...?!? Though I don't at all like coffee, I'm still looking forward to this new beverage... I believe it debuted in France - anyone of our Francs taste it yet...? Andrew...?

 

I watched while Bad Boys 2 was on commercials. Blah..........

 

I think all the award shows are just another way for actors and actresses to stroke their egos. I have no interest in them at all. And I really don't get people getting star struck when they see who ever or wasting tons of time keeping up with all the celeb gossip. They are just people so I don't see the need to waste the time.
