Three Six Mafia

Who would have thought that? Especially with a name like 3 "6" Mafia (666 sign of the Beast..blah blah blah). Still, I never would have thunk it...Devil worshipping rappers? What's next..counrty music that is actually good?

By the way...I heard if you play Jay Z backwards he says Ho's, Cash, Money...Ho's, Cash, Money..

 

No shes not thats complete BS the song is a sample from some old song shes saying "your my pride your my body your my king" and Juicy says introducin before his verse seriously its clear as...well hell.

 

I have one of their first CD's called "The End." Then I went into 11th grade and grew up. But it's still a kick ass CD, even though I'm not much into rap.

 

Alot of rap have devilish sublimals, but in the end it's mostly about money.

I was surprised when I saw this thread on a ferrari forum. People may think three six shouldn't have won an oscar, but it's awesome when you live in Memphis! Most people don't realize that the three guys at the oscars were actually not the original three six. Only two of the original three were there. D.J. Paul and Juicy were both there, but Frayser boy is sort of a new addition to Hypnotize Mind records, which is owned by three six. The third original member of three six, crunchy black, was recently put in jail for robbing someone in north memphis.

 

I was thinking the third guy wasnt the original.

I think its humorous. I think it's ironic that they won too. Especially ms streisand reading the winner. I've got an album of theirs, it's still good.

 

Honestly, I like Three Six Mafia. Not for their lyrics but their beats; if you've never heard their songs on a mean ass system then you've never really heard them. THUMP, THUMP!

 

I grew up in Memphis, and they were very popular there when I was in high school (98-2000). I had one of their CDs, though I don't remember the name.It is funny that one of them got arrested for robbery. I suppose you can a take boy out of the country.....


BTW, what ever happened to Gangsta Boo? I always liked that name.

I live in Memphis and its a HUUUUUGE thing there.

Very underground rap that made it big. My friends actually been to Juicy J's house (friend of a friend type deal). He doesn't smoke (I dont either), but he said there were 7 people there, and while they were there, Juicy rolled 8 blunts.

I've also seen them at the movie theatre before (Cordova Cinema for those who live there) when I worked there in highschool.
