I am looking for a cross referance for the a/c compressor for a 1983 Mondial QV. It's a York style. Ferrari #111222.

Take the compressor to any COMPETENT A/C shop and they will recognize it. Keep the clutch from it, DO NOT let them have it as they will replace it with a unit for a Chevy pickup that has a 5k rpm redline and when you're tooling down the road at anything above that rpm for more than a short burst, the bearings in the clutch will fail, smoke the belt, and who knows what else.

I & others have posted a lot of info on A/C compressors, including a NAPA exchange unit p/ns in the archives. Just search for York, NAPA, & compressor.

Thanks, for the info and link to the compressor ID doc. I checked the threads but did'nt think about the archives. That's next.

I found the threads that list the NAPA # as 258108 but only the 308's are mentioned in the archives. Will the 308 compressor be the same for the '83 Mondial QV?

    Yes,
The Mondial8 & MondialQV s used the same compressors as the 308s. Just about everything engine related or engine mounted is the same as well.

    Thanks to all that helped.

While I was changing the compressor out I decided to change the timing belts and tensioner bearings. Well, I'm glad I did as the front bank bearing had frozen and was sliding on the belt. It was an Italian bearing and looked like it had never been changed but the belts looked ok. Changed them anyway. My Irish luck was foiled, usually I'm late with such things and disaster usually strikes. T Rutlands got the belts and bearings to me over night. Helpfull people.
