I am not sure what you are stating.. I own 5 FCars, and wanted to get another set of blanks for my cars.. ?? -a
This key is available online from the Ferrari Store for 125 Euros, along with keys for the 360 and the 612. All are uncut and shipped from Italy in a red box identical to the one in the picture above. Here is the description of the Enzo key from the Ferrari Store website: "Enzo Ferrari key Original ignition key without a transponder and modelled on that of the new Enzo Ferrari GT. The ring is 3.1 cm in diameter and bears the Ferrari badges, both in silver. The key is presented in a special red case with white Ferrari tissue paper and comes with an authentication card." Mind you, it's not an actual Enzo key, it is only "modelled" after it.
Who cares if you're an "f-chatter"??? This is a world-wide chat site. Anyone can be on it; it doesn't put you into some exclusive club or give you an instant bond to the guy...
i beg to differ.... we are all bound to each other by association through this website.... now if a kid from ethiopia was to register and begin posting.... then yes, we'd have a special bond with the young ethiopian
It may not be an instant bond, but there are sure a lot of people here who have helped FELLOW FCHATTERS. I've helped out many and have been helped out by many others. The only reason the favors were extended was because of the bond many of us have formed. It started with a passion for cars and went beyond.
I wouldn't say it's a "scam". A scam would be if you paid him $900 and you never heard from him again. All he's doing is marketing to idiots. It happens all day every day on your TV. I don't see any problem with it.
I agree. Sticking a higher "Buy It Now" price on the item isn't a scam, just free enterprise. BUT -- specifically saying the key is only available to Enzo owners, if that's not the case, is misleading. He could just delete that. I think it's a cool idea to sell Ferrari key blanks.
True, but this poster seems to be saying that since he told him he posts on the same chat site, he's entitled to a discount. It seems like the poster didn't know Jimmy540 before he contacted him, but just expected better treatment since he's on ferrarichat. I agree completely with this site being a catylist for friendships, I've made several, but to think that being on it automatically entitles you to discounts from strangers is a bit of a stretch.
Haven't you ever gone to a car dealer to buy a car, and the salesman makes it seem like the car he has and that you're interested in is "one of a kind", but if you do some research, you find someone else selling the same car for much less? Jimmy's doing the same. Good for you to have found a cheaper source for the same thing, Good for Jimmy if he can get people to buy his keys for as much as he can sell them for. As for being an FChatter, take a look at the cars in FerrariAds.com. Different people are asking different prices for the same model car, do you think that if you called and said you were an FChatter you'd get a better deal than if someone else called, had the cash, and wanted to buy the car? Just to lighten it up a little, here are pictures of the keys purchased at the Wynn. Actually these are pictures of someone elses, it was just easier to steal their pics than to take my own (Sorry Jeffrey). Image Unavailable, Please Login
Same reason people buy "moon rocks" when they obviously don't own the moon... They're fans of the moon; they like the moon. Some hope to one day be on the moon... They like little trinkets and stuff to remind them of this moon they like so much... For some, these items are the catalyst for great inspiration...
The fact remains that the Seller lies in his ad and that false advertising is unlawful in most developed countries... Some of the replies in this thread are obviously from individuals whom you should avoid at all cost in any sort of business transaction.
Why would anyone want to go to the moon? I want to go where no man has gone before...like Janet Reno's bedroom!
Love your Trabant, Mr. Korr. Had to decide between one of these and the Mondial when I returned to Canada from a stint in (the former East) Germany...
Maybe he's not lying. Maybe he's just reiterating what was told to him about the key, maybe there are alot of other reasons. But one thing's for sure, you're out of line for passing judgement on people's business practices from one or two posts on FChat. Cyrus
I suspect you chose the nicer, faster and more classy of the two. So, how many miles did you put on your Trabi?
