Sure did see it - you'd have to be blind to miss it.

I was surprised that the MP4-21 wasn't blinding the cameras. It didn't look like an overcast day, they probably use polarized filters on the lens to keep glare out. I wonder what it looks like in person, though, in Bahrain full sun.

Did you notice the polarized filter used on the the on-board camera when they did a lap with JPM? Perhaps that cut any of the chrome reflection? I got a good chuckle out of Steve Matchett's comment about the car and the cosmetic girls at Saks or whatever store he referenced.

For Kimi's onboard, the top of the front area looked like last year's silver, nothing like chrome. Only time i noticed chrome was a shot of the side at an angle where you could see a reflection of the front wheel against the barge board area.

That was a pretty good comment about Macy's :D I'm kinda a fan of the look, though, minus the red (too much red).

Don't worry. The brake dust from the Renaults they will be following will settle on the McLarens and take the edge of the shiny surface ;)

looks like MS might have been right about the F248... its going to be another great season if this keeps up. i wonder if rubens is thinking his switch was a good idea.

Saturday morning should be nuts with new format. Don't know how it will work out for us (red cars) Read in Autoweek that sandbanging might be better because of the new format. Little confusing. I think Alonso will be tough & Honda. I hope MS goes after it this year. I think he knows this is last year with Ferrari and wants to go out BIG TIME. I'm still worried about tires after watching today (fri).

Does anyone get Speed Channel in hi-def ?? I have surround sound but they don't broadcast it right.

They sound terrible IMO. Very whiny and tinny...

Also the cars seem to look worse and worse every year.

The 2004 cars looked the best, sounded the best (of the V10s), were the most powerful and the fastest. :)

I'll agree with you on that. The front wings get more and more complicated, and the sidepods are liberally festooned with chimneys, winglets, strakes and all manner of silly (but undoubtedly effective) nicknacks. I suppose the drag coefficients of these cars must be hideous, but it's all in the name of the divine downforce.........

And I wish the car numbers were required to be larger and right up front, behind the manufacturer's logo. And does the car number appear anywhere on the side anymore? It used to be, typically, on the rear wing endplate, but that seems to have gone away as well.

Second and fifth in third practice. Schumacher is 0,011 seconds behind nr 1, Jenson Button.

Heavy battles between Ferrari, Honda & Renault. McLaren, Toyota and maybe Red Bull are the outsiders :)

Good to see Schumie near the top, tho it could be other players just holding back as Button just came from nowhere.

Will be interesting to see what happens in less than 2hrs as they dont need to go all out with light loads and when it comes to the last session they will have race loads and no real indication of race pace.
