LOL. :D I prefer it here.

What a fantastic race ! Very happy FA won, but also happy that Ferrari and MS seem to be back on form for this season, makes things far more interesting. But the thing that impressed me the most was Rosberg's performance on his rookie drive. I'm looking forward to great things from this man. (BTW, Narain, THAT'S how a rookie proves his worth).

Ferrari pit crew needs spanking and more practice. I blame them for MS not keeping his 1st place. Also Rosberg is going to be the next MS. He can drive thats for sure.

I second that!! Its going to be a fun season! I'll take second in the first race of the season. Anything is better than last year.

Four fairly evenly matched teams, great young talent, and the season's first established moving road block (Ide).

I'll be interested to hear MS's comments on that 2nd stint. Don't know if it was a bad set of tyres, but the race was basically lost when he gave up that 2-3 sec lead. It could also be that FA knew that stint would determine the final result and just drove the hell out of the Renault.

Hey, FA trimmed the unibrow and the moulet (mullet).

We've watched Rosberg at several GP2 races and he drives like MS. We'll never forget Nico's drive in the rain on slicks at Spa last year. I was telling John, it's too bad Ferrari didn't snag him.

I don't think Michael gave up the fight, I think it was a smart move to take second place and conserve the car.

    Great race.

    1. Kimi is amazing... if he had a reliable car NOBODY could touch him right now.

    2. At the very least, the Ferrari is once again competitive.

    3. JPM is a tool.

    4. Had Massa held on just a few laps, MS would have had the win.

    5. It looks to be a great year. LOTS OF PASSING!

    Yes.

    Observations:

-Kimi had the drive of the day
    -Nico was brilliant-future world champion
-Michael is still fast but mellowing with age
    -JPM stinks
-Massa hasn't changed-great qualifier; lousy racer

    Most importantly, Ferrari are competitive.....

I should have said he took his last stab at the lead on lap 53. I agree he was smart to a) concede the line to FA after the pit and b) to get the car to the end. He knows this is a long season and he'll be around to fight another day.

Looks like we have a good car, but so do Renault and McLaren.

MS gave a good fight. Ferrari had the advantage with Massa in front of Alonso, but he failed to deliver a better team result.

    Just saw the race...

A bit disappointing on the 2nd place finish but the race was entertaining enough!

This year is going to be awesome!

I agree.. trade Massa for Rosberg!!!!

MS made an interesting comment about having to go an extra lap in qualifying used up an extra lap of race fuel and that was the difference. Strategist for sure.

The F248 seems to have traction pbs ? or maybe short on hp . The Renault and the Honda really pulled away from it on exiting the corners.

How could they **** up Massa's pit so bad ??

Here's what rubs me about McLaren: They have so much power that they can run a 1-stop strategy from the back of the field and finish 3rd, but they aren't winning races. JPM is considered one of the better drivers, he was surely in a position to challenge for the win, but he finishes behind his teammate, who started behind Ide. We as well as the announcers marvel at Kimi's ability to go from behind Ide to third, but why isn't the McLaren blowing away the field?

The car seems to be long on potential, but short on execution.

I didn't get that opinion at all - I really liked Kimi's comment - we started last so we knew we had a shot at the points - how true. It was interesting seeing Alonso and Kimi sitting side by side knowing Alonso is headed to McLaren next year.

Can't wait for four more days and it's F1 time again. It's also Sebring at 10:30 on Saturday - I'll miss qualifying and the start of Sebring. I have a horse show (now's when I need a portable dish system in my trailer!)

Great weekend ahead - go Ferrari in F1 and go Risi at Sebring!

I noticed that SPEED TV didn't post the finishing results in the same manner as in past years, making it difficult to see how the various tire manufacturers fared. Still scouring the F1 sites for this info. Any observations on Bridgestone vs. Michelin thus far?
