I just bought a 2004 360 Modena with 24,000 miles on it. The car is currently at the dealer where I am getting a list of (mostly wear and tear) items replaced. Among the things that were replaced are all 4 tires and the front right wheel, which was bent slightly from the inside.

I was supposed to pick up the car yesterday, but the dealer called and said that upon test driving the car, after all the work was completed, they found that the car was wandering, so they decided to do a 4-wheel alignment, to which I agreed.

Today, the dealer called again, and said they did the alignment twice, and every time they test drove the car, it was still not tracking straight. They are now taking the suspension apart and checking the “bushings”.

I don’t have any experience with Ferraris (this is my first F-car), so I don’t know what to make of this. What could it be guys? I am afraid that my PPI missed something and I will be in for a large bill, or worse, with a damaged (unfixable) car.

Since I am in Kuwait, I only have one dealer to work with here, and I would like to go to them with some ideas about what to check/look out for.

Any help would be appreciated and sorry for the long post.

If it had a bent RHF wheel................ I would assume that it has had a hit underneath the car and bent or damaged something?? Unless there are worn bushes, but you wouldnt think so at 24,000 miles? And they should have looked at or seen worn bushes ect.... when they did the wheel alignment? Twice? :( They will soon tell you,as there must be a problem if it doesnt track straight?

Never seen a suspension bushing on one of those worn out from street driving even with considerably more miles. The ball joints however have been a problem but those first manifest themselves as a knock in the suspension long before any poor handling characteristics show up.

Make sure they have a properly matched set of tires with the proper pressures and are using the correct alignment specs. As simple as it seems alignments are something that it seems not very many mechanics know how to do well.
