Hello all, I come to you in a search for help.. Does anyone know the address for Vasek Polak's race warehouse, and if it is still around? Also, are the cars still rotated between dealers?? I've heard its in Torrance, but can't get an address or any info beyond it being used to hold his race cars.. Thanks in advance.

(If this should be in off-topic, as it's not Ferrari-related, my sincere apologies.)

All the Vasek dealers are gone. The cars, I believe, were sold.

That was a long time ago........long time gone. All cars are in private hands now. Their warehouse was a gold mine....uh.....diamond mine for Porsche race cars and parts.

Another person that knows TONS about 'real' road racing in Southern California is Phillipe DeLespinay, go to his website and contact him there.
It's a slot car website, but he knows EVERYONE that races the real stuff in SC.

Vasek passed away and everything is gone. Once while trying to find a 355 challenge rollcage I went to a storage facility to pick it up. There was Vasek Polack's Porsche 959. Yup a real one. One of those cars that was never supposed to be in the country. Wow was it cool. Somebody will have it as a barn find in about 30 years and it will be all the rage. He also had a BMW m1 plus other sundry cars. He was a true car guy.

Vasek's shop was on Pacific coast highway between Redondo and Hermosa beach. It was a Porsche dealship with an incredable selection of his race cars in the back. All unrestored and just as they came off the track...and still in running order. All racked up due to lack of space.
Had the pleasure of wandering around about 10 years ago, the ex Le Mans 917's really stood out.
When he died, the family sold the business(it is now called South Beach BMW),and collecters purchased the race cars.
An amazing person and a true gentleman, his enthusiasm for his cars and racing remained 'til the day he died.

    pretty cool...
the first two 'legal' 959's in the US belong to Bill Gates, and Paul Allen; which were the lobby to get a law passed, and signed by Bill Clinton...

the only 959 i've seen was in Koblenz Germany... i was young at the time... and i knew it looked stranger then the porsches i was used to seeing.
