Hmmmm....... not a lot here. Can't seem to find anyplace to buy a New York Times or Wall Street Journal (Starbucks only has the NYT on Sundays) and the most exotic car I have seen is a Porsche 914.... you know that funny looking little midget one. It's not as desolately flat as I expected but there are certainly not a lot of hills. Once out of the Ft Worth area it seems like a reasonable high speed run as there is barely anything in between, only some very smallish communities. I'm now hunting for an apartment/house. Plane tickets to Dallas are kinda spendy ~110 each way so it looks like I will definitely be driving more often than flying.

Head out toward Buffalo Gap, south of town. I don't know if it is still there or not but there used to be a Beer Garden and a good steakhouse. Some pretty good roads to open it up a little also.........

Only 150 miles, less than a 2 hour run to Tarrant County. Let me & others know when you're going to be in town. Btw, check the Corvette boards, I think they have an upcoming spring event at TMS.

Hey what happened to the title? I couldn't find the original & took me while to find this one!

Mark, it was nice to meet you, too. Enjoy Abilene, too!!

My tentative plan is to fly out this weekend and pick up the Vette then next weekend come out for the Boardwalk drive/Exotic Car nights. It looks like San Antonio is probably ~3 hour drive :D

It was originally "Moving to Abilene" then Rob changed it to the "Happy hour for MarkPDX" and then I changed it to the current title. You have a PM :)

You guys please take it easy on Mark. He is pretty gullible. For example, just a few nights ago, he is actually convinced that he had a meeting with the elusive HORSEFLY. Horsefly speaks with no one. Hired flunkies often serve as paid substitutes for Horsefly to those who demand a meeting. The real Horsefly is shrouded in mysteries so involved that few could fathom their depth, much less warrant an actual face to face encounter.

Hey; F1 watching party coming up in DFW, possibly Ft Worth.
Civilization just over the hill.... OK, across the desert.

Ok, then you must not be the handsome normal looking guy in the picture. Oh well, back to my alien theory. :D;):D I want to meet you too... and the on-air talent. ;)
