Can anyone confirm if there was an exhaust change done around mid-2004 to the 575 to answer the 'quiet' exhaust complaints?

Anyone know if it was the rear mufflers or center silencer that was changed or both?

Any way to reference part number changes? Just wondering how these types of changes are tracked in Ferrari land.

    TIA!

Was that the optional GTC exhaust?

Good question. Not sure if there was a stock change to the center pipes or the rear mufflers for 'stock' 2004. Not sure if the GTC exhaust was available separate.

I haven't received my car yet, but 1 person commented the exhaust sounded good, which is odd since it was 'stock'. The Cargraphic/Fuchs should arrive tomorrow and be on the car by Friday before it ships to me via Goldrush.

I don't think I'll ask them to send the stock mufflers. Prob just make a mess in the trunk and I don't need to hang onto them. Just curious.

I saw a 575 SA on a lift during dealer prep. There was no center resonator but onlyh an x-pipe. Similar set-up on mid-late 05 575M?

I'm hoping that is the exact situation.
I think the stock mufflers are the same but Ferrari changed the 575 center exhaust around mid-2004.
That would be the easiest and most cost effective change for the factory.

Is there an exhaust tunnel cover on the 575? Will try to get a look under there eventually.

Just heard back from the dealer.

My Oct 2004 575M has straight pipes in the center from the factory per the Service Manager.

So, there was an H-Pipe on 550's, possible mix of H-Pipes and Straight pipes w/o silencers on the 575's and X-Pipes w/o silencers on the Super Americas.

I'm not able to confirm the straight pipes myself. Might take pictures in the future after the car arrives if I'm in there again. If I'm not 100% happy with the sound I'll change the center to a Fuchs X-Pipe and may go back in again.

Feel free to correct the above if I'm wrong.
The service manager said with the Fuchs SS and factory straight pipes that it sounds like a 'stock' Enzo. Haven't heard a stock Enzo before. Look forward to having the car here in 1 week.
