I picked up a 1988 book called "Dream Machines". It's filled with the various oddball customized exotics of the era. There were two that caught my eye, because I had never seen the names associated with Ferraris.

    1) Gunther Artz from Hannover, and his 308 GTSi spyder conversion. All the book says is "He did away with the roll-bar and installed a comfortable canopy instead."

    2) Mardikian from Newport Beach, and the 400i limo. It had a lead time of over a year, was stretched 75 inches, and was over 21 feet long. "The limousine's interior is fitted out in a style that is guaranteed to impress even a modern-day Al Capone: the interior is entirely upholstered in red velvet..."

    Such a tasteful time :D

The 308 Spider has some interesting lines. Did ARTZ change the door mirrors??

Using the 400i for a limo: good. Deleting the Ferrari leather in favor of red velvet: firing squad bad.

Yes, they look sort of like Koenig mirrors.

Something else interesting in yet another old Ferrari book I found at the used book store.

From Ferrari by Brian Laban, published 1984. This shows up described as a "1974 Boxer Spider". Photograph credit is Neil Bruce

No other info, just thought it was interesting. It's a RHD car

That car is awesome. Due ot it being a Boxer Berlinetta spider conversion is should be called a 512BTS. I would really like to own that car. Slick!
