Sportveloce's link to the LIV site has most of the pertinent information. You would need to see a lawyer who specialises in torts and MVA, as this doesn't sound like an especially clear cut case to me, and I'm not prepared to comment on where specific liability could fall. Follow the links to the referral service. Alternatively, you can make an appointment to see a solicitor or caseworker at your local community legal centre in order to gain basic advice pertaining to your position and who would be the best party to pursue, and where liability could fall. Note that some (most) community legal centres will not represent you if you do pursue the matter any further than a letter of demand; they simply offer preliminary legal advice without charge. If you are injured, you should see a doctor ASAP if you haven't already, and take detailed photos of the injury. A medical report might be required at a later stage. Also keep receipts for everything related to this matter (medication, etc). If you do see a solicitor, write down what happened in point form beforehand, so you can concisely relate the events to the solicitor, literally blow by blow. Don't leave anything out, and be specific. Give your solicitor the names of any witnesses. That's all I can think of at this ungodly hour. Good luck!
You post in the Aussie section, you refer to it and the people in it and then you have the audacity to imply that you weren't referring to it. You've definately got a tool in your hand but you ain't a mechanic. Eeeeooo, eeeooo, if you really think weren't inciting a reaction, you are more of a neanderthal tetrapod than I thought.
Simple answer to a simple question. You have been injured therefore police should have been called. It seems you have now reported to the police if not do so with all details, secondly report incident and make a claim through your insurer. They will give the go ahead for repairs and they will persue the taxi company who will in turn persue the passenger as in my opinion the passenger is insured by the taxi company ie taxi company would most likely be liable as it was car door that hit you. If you are not insured ring legal aid service and they will give you no. of solicitor who will give you the first appointment free with advice as to where to go from there. There you go, an answer without some dick head comments.
You'll find the 'dickhead' comments start after al9 created a thread bagging the Aussie Section. It's a bit rich to seek advice, and then bag the people who you've requested help from. Furthermore, your answer is moot if this thread is based on a fabrication.
For sure, otherwise he would just go through his insurance, and they'd recover off whoever is legally liable. Also, as a result of being injured, I'd assume the TAC (statutory third party injury insurance) would get involved somewhere along the line as well. The police were called, and if they saw he was injured, I'm sure an abmbulance would have been called? Especially if he had a gash to his shin, and had just come off a bike??? I dunno, the story is just too weird IMO.
I find it interesting that some f chatters are so quick to shoot someone down in flames of disbelief. I thought this board was to assist each other and not make assumptions. If a question is asked then we simply answer it. I didn't see where al9bagged anyone.
what's interesting about it? what made you think that? sorry...but our method is much more fun. and let's face it...they may not be stupid questions to him, but they are to us....just a fact of life.
hi Tony, if you look here : http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=97718 in the first post he decides to take a swipe at the members here straight after asking for help on a dodgy accident in this post. I personally could care less but those who thought he was being disparaging to chipped in for their $12.50 +gst how's your 355 going since you had the clutch fixed ? I'll catch up with you on the weekend if you're going to the winery tour
