If I put it on ebay, I *might* get enough to get three 1/18th versions:

    1x Hotwheels Elite F40
    1x CMC 250 GT SWB
    1x BBR Enzo

The Pocher is so big and I am going to need a glass case for it.

I only have this one at the moment. They have been selling for over $500 in the built condition. I don't know what amount I would ask but ebay should dictate that. Does anybody know what a built one is worth?

you know, I've posted an image here before but I just can't seem to figure it out again. I uploaded it with the "manage attachments" thingie and from there I'm stuck so you'll just have to click on the link.

Haha, I was asking myself the same thing.

I have a yellow F40 with a black interior. A few weeks ago, I got the Make Up yellow F40 (streetversion) from Make Up / Eidolon (easily the best handbuilt 1:43 F40 out there), so the 1:8 has become somewhat obsolete.

On the other hand, it makes a very nice centerpiece amongst all it´s little 1:43 friends and it´s a great model (I have trouble calling it miniature).

I still have a NIB 1/8 Pocher F40 bought in LA in 1995, should have sold it about a year ago when Ebay price peaked at $1000.

i think you could get more than $500, but i'd hate to sell it. you won't find another F40 model like it anywhere. it really is a unique piece as far as F40 models go.

Yeah, you're probably right. After it's gone I'll miss it but I keep thinking about putting many different cars in it's place.

    GTE: no problem :)

Anyone remember back in the days when Exoto was blowing the kits out at $180 a piece?

Think I only bought 4 of them and regret not stocking up

    don't sell it!
IMO No 1:18s can subtitute the presence of a 1:8 Pocher, no matter how much more detailed a 1:18 can be.

You can if it was new in the box. The price is a bit lower once already built. I bought a built one for about $350 a few months ago.

I'm lucky enough to have both a 1:8 Testarossa and an F-40. Does anyone know how many of each kit were produced?

Incidentally.....I picked up my F-40 at a local antique mall for a reasonable $135 last fall. As far as I'm concerned I'll die of old age before I sell it.

These were mass produced, no numbers are out there, although I believe the silver spider Testarossa was a limited edition (1500 I think).
My advice is keep it, as built Pochers don't sell for anywhere near kit prices, a perfectly built stock F40 is worth around $400, Ebay is always the best market but very unpredictable. I can tell you it will not go over $450 unless your F40 has more transkits added to it. Either way I would definitely not sell it, they are stunning displays for the money.

I probably should keep it but anything for a price, huh?
Like collectorstudio has a built one for C$1995/US$1350. I'd be fine with less than that. ;)
