Anybody know where I can find the thermo time switch on my '88 3.2 Mondial? I suspect it is screwed into the head somewhere (probably under the intake plenum in hard-to-reach land... I'm suspecting the cold start valve is not firing on cold start and therefore am suspicious of the tts.

A picture would be much appreciated if anyone has one handy.

    Thanks in advance!

The thermo time switch is a plug in the top flat area between the cylinder heads at the rear (flywheel side) of the engine behind the oil filter mount.
Note in red circle at the end of the highly complex and expensive computer graphics in photo below.

Ok, lets not "suspect" a component is not working, lets "test" it...

so test the Voltage signal to the cold start injector then...

It should be live for about 15 seconds when the engine is totally cold.

Pull the plug off the cold start injector, and put a multi meter on it.

Russ, thank you, very helpful. Yes, great work with the high tech graphics - impressive!

Ferrarifixer, good point, I'll put the meter on it tomorrow morning and see if she's firing - the CSV is new, so if not flowing some extra gas then it has to be the signal.....thanks again.

    Sorry for the hi-jack....

Russ, I was just wondering what you used to color your valve covers, they look fantastic and are a very factory-correct appearing color. Paint? Wrinkle finish? Powdercoat?

    Thanks -
They were powdercoated in a dark red crinkle; will try to find the number.
