    Me and Collette came home from shopping this morning to find a pool of blood with our cat in the middle of it, we rushed him to the vet to find out that some low life scum had shot him, the wound had penetrated the intestine so the chances are not that good for a good outcome, we have to phone the vets in about 2 hours time to find out if the operation has been OK, if i could catch the person now i would do serious harm, so all we can do now is pray that he (Schumi) will be OK.

    that blows !!!! i have a cat at home and if i cought someone doing crap like that to my pet or anyone elses for that matter i would beat the bajesus outa them.....

    OH GOD !!! I love cats, and if I saw anyone harming a cat in front of me, they wouldn't live to boast about it.

    I may go to jail but they will go to Hell.

    My sincerest wishes for Schumi's full recovery, you have my sympathies. :( :(

    Steve Hope it all works out OK for the cat, any idea if any of your neighbours kids have been given an air riffle recently......if they have you may want to duct tape them to a chair and ask nicely if they did it..............Chaa should be able to give you some tips ;)

    Thanks guys for the support, there are mostly fields all around us where the cats play we have 6, the nearest estate is about a half mile away, but i have chased kids off our property on the past who have been hunting rabbits, the police are on the way but i dont hold out much hope in them catching anyone.

    sorry Steve. Be worth finding out if there's a series going on in your neighborhood/area. It might be random punks or something more sinister; animal cruelty is a precursor to more violent behavior.

    If I ever caught someone harming my dog or even my cat (when she was still alive)... Bad things would happen. I'm not a violent person but pets are family, and we all know what happens when your family is harmed.

    Sorry for Schumi, you and Collette. Report it to police and local humane society, as Wales doesn't seem to like guns and their use as much as we colonists do.
    Hope he survives, some cats are hardy beasts, one of ours survived a contractor's truck fan and peritonitis from same. Has a little divot near hindquarters but is a beast of repute.
    Hope the outcome is peaceful and as painless as possible either way.

    Collette and I thank you for your kind words guys it really means a lot to us, well the news from the vet is good i think, Schumi came through the surgery OK but his pancreas had been ripped and needed repairing he will stay in overnight and we may be able to fetch him in the morning, i will now have a beer and pour Collette a glass of wine to relax with, i think we need it, again thanks guys you lot are great.

    Steve + Collette with Schumi too.
