Darth Vader
My first aspiration was to be a garbage man. I liked all the noise they made banging the metal trash cans around, and it was cool how they could squish everything down after they put it in their truck. My 2nd aspiration was to be a janitor. I thought it was neat that they had so many keys. It seemed like they could open any door and unlock any lock. They had unlimited access, which I thought was pretty cool. When I got a little older, I wanted to be a cowboy, like my grandfather. When I finally grew up, I became a lawyer.
That is a lot of dirty jobs there! I always wanted to be a Navy SEAL when I was younger. Or I wanted to shoot big firework shows. The SEAL thing is done as my goals are different, but this spring/summer I will be working for Bay Fireworks shooting professional display shows . Should go well!
When I was a kid - after I realized being a superhero was just not in the cards - I wanted to be a mafia hitman... Then I saw Goodfellas and realized I'd never be in the "family" 'cause I'm not Italian... So now I'm struggling as a writer...
Always wanted to be a train conductor or Superman. Then moved onto a fighter pilot, than onto a Navy Seal. Now i just wanna be a business man.
Invisible........ Okay, now you guys tell just how many times you said something like, "Man if I were invisible and they could not see me"????
Same situation. Was going to go the grunt route and had my letters of recommendation written up for West Point until a few weekend leaves during my teen military acad days said, " whoa, check that out," when seeing the girls. A little selfish but no regrets. Happily married now and always can press reset when blown out of the sky in Battlefield 2 on computer. RocketBoy
Most of the time I wanted to be either a Fire Fighter or an Airline Pilot. Doesnt look like I will be doing either. I always told myself I would never have a traditional desk job...Looks like thats what Im heading for
You're young. Go to the firefighter academy. Go to flight school. DON'T wait 15 years and wonder what might have happened and where your waistline went.
Business owner. I have always loved the take a plane in the morning , negociate, sign , come back kind of life . Slowing taking this path ..
Jordan, check out my post on colleges. I could use you help with a question, I think> Now, back on subject. Sorry to hijack the thread...........
always wanted to be an engineer (first chemical, later until now aerospace) then i found out how little you make compared to the difficulty and skill required. my grandpa always said that engineering was too hard for what you made, i found out the hard way he smart to say that, and he was only a civil engineer (i guess civils could be smart ) i guess i'll take the ultimate slap in the face and finish the other half of my degree. they really need to pay more than $70 out of school though
I think when I was 5, I wanted to be a fireman but then again so did every kid that age. When I got older & saw Star Wars for the first time, I had an interest in special effects model making, I went as far as making my own 8mm films. After that I grew out of it & wanted to major in Business Management & be somehow being involved in the automotive industry.
I never had any great aspirations as to what I would do when I grew up. Now that I'm older, I still don't have any great aspirations , and I'm not working at developing any great aspirations either !!! So, I guess I've succeeded !!!!
i wanted to fly to the moon and be the first person to plant a Ferrari flag into the ground, but now i'm an electrician
That is not what I meant. You guys get your minds out of the gutter. I meant, what would happen if I could get in the other football teams huddle? How good could our defense be? Or if I could get in our competitors boardroom????? How sweet could that be?? I did not mean the girls locker room, like some of you guys were thinking.......
