I think there's going to be a few of us "co-pilots" left to protect the dealership. Everyone already has passengers. At least, everyone I've checked with.
Carolyn and I are in. Concerning road updates--they would have to replace them to correct the "Nick" dips. We were following him on the Jimpo1 run and those dips are pretty bad, as was the apparent damage to the undercarriage of his 355. Now on the other had--I suspect that if you drive the roads at the posted speed they are probably OK, but at a "C note" or more (as some of us are prone) then they may present a problem. As our illustrious past Gov. Dolph Briscoe would say, " DRIVE FRIENDLY"!

Great event, thanks Boardwalk. (And Tillman!) Here's a couple of shots of the 430 Challenge cars unveiled after the rally... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Had an awesome time.... It was great meeting everybody. Big thanks to Yoshi for letting me drive his car
Great event. Missed the first half good parts. Thanks Phil for letting us know about our brake lights. That wasn't safe at the speed limit speeds we were driving. Spent 10 minutes side of the road checking the hard stuff like the fuse panel and then removing the bulb units from the back. We headed back to the dealership and they had us back on the road in 5 minutes. Turned out to be the simplest thing... the actual pedal switch was disconnected. We drove backwards up 75 and met everyone at the Target stop. Still had a little fun coming back with the pack on 75, but there was too much normal traffic for too much fun. The 430 Challenge cars were a great surprise. First ones I think most there had ever seen. Great news the Dallas dealer is getting back into the series. Thanks Boardwalk for the drive, breakfast, and lunch. Sure, it was fun morning. I haven't seen so many 430 in one place yet! They look awesome. Also nice to chat & meet old & new guys at the event, too. (somehow this doesn't sound right,,,) I like 430 challenge grille. Maybe I can fit it onto 355 Thanks Boardwalk for arranging this event!
Thanks to Boardwalk for a great time!. According to Bobby R. they are going to do this in the future--I am sure we all look forward to these events. Unfortunately, I did not have the camera set correctly , so my pics did not come out. Thanks again, Boardwalk, for an outstanding time.
Thank you Boardwalk for putting this fun run together! From Van Alstyne to Sherman we were behind 4- 430's, and the sounds were unreal. We gave Nick with the paper plates our award for most runs through the gears. He used any opportunity to stretch it's legs, and we got to watch and hear it at point blank range. Tried to stay close in the 355, but the 100 hp difference was obvious. It was a great day, and we are ready to go again!
I only got to squeeze in a few miles, but it was great fun. I was surrounded by 430's and Stradales, and boy did they sound great. The 430 in front of me was having some fun going up the tollway, it may have been the best sounding Ferrari I've ever heard. It WAS a little embarrassing at one point when the line of Ferrari's was doing 40mph on the tollway. The lead car needed to know that with him doing the speed limit, there's no way the 30 cars behind him can even approach 60mph. I'll try to get my pictures up in a day or two, my kid was excited about seeing 2 Superamericas.
