A THOUGHT: YOUR BLESSED IF YOU LIVE TO BE 100...

100? Sounds horrible. How many 100 yr olds do you know still running around? Rahter than beint bathed in fromaldehyde and needing assistance for everything, I'd rather go with the achilles deal. Go big and live it up.

I for one wouldn't want to be 100. But i"m pretty sure I won't make it because nobody else wants me around that long either.

I don't want to live to be 100.. hell, I don't want to live much past 60.. unless I'm in love and good health.

 

L.A. news the other day: 100 year old man retires from work.

Pretty unusual, I thought.

My favorite uncle (the original Indiana Jones) is 93, and he is not too happy about it: Constant pain, barely gets around, goes to doctors 3-4 times a week. Keeps wishing he could die.

Not too sure I'd want to live to be 100, but that opinion could change when I'm 99!

 

I figure I'm doing ok. I race cars, play tennis, and fondle women, BUT! I have weekends off, and I am my own boss.

100... not sure... you have to work you butt off to be able to live comfortably around that age.

Read the article the other day... about how much $ you'll need for your retirement ....

Already now 65-year-olds are expected to live till at least 85 and if you are married, one of the spouses will be able to easily last till 95 .... I guess, it means that people would have to work till their late 70s ... You'll have to plan having at least $50K a year to cover the care and needs when you are that far over the hill, not even adding the inevitable - inflation. No economy will be able to handle so many old people unable to financially support themselves... The way I see the future in 20-30 years: once you hit 80 and don't have a hefty bank account - out you go to some kind of "retiring" camps ...LOL

If I live to be 100 I am gonna coke out everyday. My great grands kids will be like wheres great grandpa. They will tell them that I am in the closet again with the needles. 65 years to go.

 

100 doesn't seem too appealing. If I could still do the stuff that a 20 year old could at 100, that's fine. Some tortoise just died at 250 years old ( http://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory?id=1764165 ) and I think it would suck if I lived to 250 and everyone else died around 80 (assuming I'd be in terrible condition and couldn't wipe my own @ss).

 

My smoker's cough has gotten worse recently and last night I had almost half a container of Cool Whip for dessert. I'll be lucky if I make it to 30...

In fact, such thoughts about the gloomy future help you enjoy and appreciate the life you are living now ... it is when you are in a good health and mind, when you live in a beautiful area, and able to love and be loved, you can speculate about the future ... and make plans to start taking care of it. After a weekend. Starting Monday ..LOL
