I actually like verry busy design. I could make it cleaner, but then Id get bored. Just my preference I guess. I like cars full of holes, louvres, and bodylines. As for my drawing style, yes its sketchy. It will always BE sketchy because Im pretty much ADHD and my hands are always shaking from nerves. So it makes it very difficult to draw completely straight flowing lines no matter how much coordination Ive got. What you see is not the BEST quality Im capable of but its close. If I try to draw more slowly I start shaking and you definitely can see it in the artwork. So please cut me a bit of slack in that regard, thanks.
I like it... the dimensions seem to differ slightly from the front to the rear view. That can all be cleared up in a CAD program. But for a rough draw, it's got good eye appeal. The color really made a big difference. I'd be very interested to see this drawing and it's fine tuning process. I'm sure the finished product will look pretty cool. James
The designs of pininfarina, regardless of how much you like or dislike them, are always penned by a very purposeful hand -- this is the reason why their designs are often described as flowing or smooth. While I do actually like the fundamentals of your design MUCH more than the production 599, your design would need to be streamlined substantially to ever hold a chance in the real world. Many people (yourself included, I think) see this as a means to make the design more boring, but in reality it is a way to make the design more intentional, purposeful, and crisp. You have presented a number of ideas with your design which really outdo the Pininfarina design in my opinion, but they are clouded by dozens of rough edges and irrelevant details. Boil off the clutter and think about what aspects of the car you are REALLY trying to improve upon. Once you've done that, make some revisions based on those decisions. At that point you'll be looking at something not only more sleek ("flowing"), but something which exaggerates the best points of your design. If you have trouble keeping your lines smooth, there are many tools available to aid with this...especially software. In your design I see a phenomenal perception of 3D space, whether or not you can draw it accurately is irrelevant For this reason you may want to consider learning some basic 3D software to help you in the visualization process. yes. It should be open there. Otherwise its pretty true to my idea. One hting that makes my designs look busy, is I have problems conveying subtlety. I really htink my design could be produced efficiently, as hteres nothing radical about it, but a lot of placeSI put a bodyline or detasil, it would be either a hole or a very subtle crease. the way I draw exxagerrates these details and makes a design look cluttered even though its really not that much more than the original. An example is the line over the swept up ducktail spoiler. It continues down and around the car, going underneath the fender/wing in front, but in a real car that line would be as subtle as Pininfarinas own. So I htink this design aside from a few extra louvres, isnt all that cluttered were it to actually be built.

whoa. Youre right it does. That was unintentional, but perhaps a bit scary how close they are. I guess I just like that swept up tail and that basic design is found on many many cars. the thing that reminds most of it is that rear air outlet though. Perhaps I should reshape it.
Ferrari should give ya a job since you did it a hell of a lot better than the guy who designed the real 599.
Hey, nice job. I'm no real artist, but I have some suggestions. I think you would need to increase the front height a bit to accomodate the V12, and maybe do away with the big central vent, or just make it more discreet. Also, I think the lines of the front girlles should flow into each other, to me they look a bit separated, if you get my meaning. The side profile is very, very nice, but I reckon the back end from a side view at least is a bit saggy. Possibly lift it up a bit like the Daytona. The windows are well shaped, but I think a bit cleaner back, possibly twin lights like the Enzo. Lastly, just take a step back, and look how the shapes and lines flow into each other. To me, the superb looking cars (Enzo, Murcielago, Stratos, Daytona etc) flow nicely, and the entire car looks coherent and together. To me it looks like the car has been designed in sections, and I think doing the whole thing at once would help. However, you have great skill in drawing in three dimensions, keep up the good work!
My thoughts exactly... front seems a bit too long. Although I must say I love the butress on the real 599.
Nicely drawn! Thanks for sharing your talents here. I like the chunky rear quarter panels and tail - these recall both the TR's muscular flanks and the elegant 550/575 rear contour. In fact I like yours better than the production 599GTB. (Except PLEASE give it quad taillights!) I'd agree with a couple of comments here that there's just too much going on up front with grilles, intakes and the 'fins' behind the front wheels; however I'd make the same comment about the production car - it looks like two cars were fused together in some CAD program.
