Hey Martin, that is the flag of Ostfriesland. ;)

How about a classic colour scheme from the old days of F-racing ?

I like the orange and black one. But I think it may look better if the orange were a shade of blue.

You are limited in the amount to post without subscription. If you want to attach a pic, make it a joeg of 480x640 and use the 'manage attachments' button in the window when you are posting. Then after you browse and find the right picture, hit 'upload'. Then you will see the name of the picture at the bottom of your post window.

It just depends on the picture. After you desaturate the image, just use brightness/contrast or hue/saturation.

I prefer the really vibrant color schemes for race cars. The black / stealth look is great on road cars. I like the subtle color change on the second pic you posted. Every time I go to paint one of my R/C vehicles I end up with yellow front fading to orange to red down the center with medium blue fading to dark blue to dark purple along the sides. It is kind of like a meteor burning through the atmosphere. I failed at photoshop and have given up doing a proposed scheme for Cavallino motors. :(
