Might as well ask this also.
Baba O'Rielly. The Who. (my pick today) I wanted to say American Pie, by Don McClean.. just to get a reaction from Carbon....LOL
For me, the best driving song is either Radar Love by Golden Earring or, They call me the Breeze by Skynnard (my car actually goes faster when this is playing). As far as best 'song', have to be a bit more specific; as for single best piece of music ever written, my nomination would probably be Beethoven's 9th Symphony Chorale.
"Best song ever ?" Hot for Teacher. (cross-threading) Axel F. by Crazy Frog? (just to hear the europeans groan) (Bam Bam)
Best song ever? Easy... Check out the Mills Bros. version of Hoagy Carmichael's 'Stardust' on their '4 Boys and a Guitar' album. It is the 'Mona Lisa' of songs/songwriting. edit: Yeah, I'm an old fart, but I still own about 6 electric guitars and a couple of amps. Trust me on this and check it out--it is exquisite.
Yes, especially the live version.... Best Song ever? "Oh Mickey" by Toni Basil or "Saturday Night" by Bay City Rollers-NOT!!!!! Led Zep, The Who ("Who's Next" is one of the great alltime albums), AC/DC, Deep Purple, Allman Bros, etc.-so much good music from many great groups. Too bad most recent music sucks......

You mean Harold Faltermeyer ? I'm surprised nobody listed 'Faster' by George Harrison, supposedly written about Niki Lauda....
The "crazy frog" (link) remix, based on a silly "annoying thing" cell phone ring tone, hit #1 on the charts in much of europe for no adequately explored reason. I was surprised to find a whole wikipedia entry on it, given that we've practically never heard of it in the US. And a Rubens/F1 and Crazy Frog "insanity test": http://www.linkworld.ws/funny/crazy/
