That is hilarious, but it also makes me think. I have been told more than several times NOT to get married.

 

I have bookmarked that page. I believe I have found the website that express my until now unexplained joy of waking up every morning, rolling over, and NOT seeing my ex-wife.

There is an exhilaration that cannot be expressed properly, and a wonderful feeling that no matter how bad my life might be at any time in the future, I have the warm knowledge that it will be better than being married.

I just read a little of that. Pretty funny, but also kinda bitter. The reality is that for me it is almost like my first wife. While she kept her shape, she couldn't stop spending, basing our 'Household' economy on the premise that 'Keith could just work a bit more to pay for it...'
When it got to the point that I worked 75-85 hours a week to support her idea of marriage, I snapped.
It cost me a fortune, but she's gone and it was worth every penny to get rid of her.
Guys, marry a 'partner', O.K.? A 'partner' cares about you, and does not view you as a ticket to 'material heaven'.

 

I'm not trying to be a smarta$$ since I definitely respect everyone's POV and the experiences unique to each person, but when I read these types of "relationship advice" threads (this one with content matter that I think falls into the category), I'm really surprised by how confused some people appear to be. Again, no disrespect since I know how manipulative and dishonest some people are, both men and women. But I really think that if an individual is in control and has identified the things important to them, its not likely that person will be so vulnerable to a point where they wake up one day feeling they've been degraded. I don't know, just my 2 cents. I just think any real commitment of depth should be reserved for people who've proven that they absolutely deserve it, I know I wouldn't have the patience otherwise.
