Great Whites, Tiger Sharks, Mako... all the "man eaters"... wouldnt bother me one bit if mankind declared open season and made an effort to eradicate them from the globe. I HATE those things.

I probably wouldn't notice it, and just paddle along happily.

First picture is a dolphin not a shark.

They were researching the sharks - I guess the aftermath is they survived and printed the article. Nothing too exciting.

You should NOT contine to paddle if the shark is checking you out. Pretend you're driftwood. Splashing the watter can only make things worse. Stay calm and if he bumps you stay THE HELL UP RIGHT!, use your paddles in this case. If you are dumped out... Good Luck to your soft chewy ass!

ae least if you fell in it would probably be quick. You would not live long enough to worry about recurring nightmares. Man that last minute would suck. Wouldn't it be ironic if you were wearing a watch with a sharkskin band!

    venusone....

Dyer Island is the place you have in mind... its off the coast of south africa... one of the few places in the world where great whites will breach the surface like dolphins....

they do offer tours and even cage dive with great whites!

needless to say.... within the next year or so I will be making a trip there (figure I should do this before I get married or have kids or something :) )

I want to see a white in the wild before ignorant humans kill them off. It is the equivalent of a tiger, but if that tiger was refined by another 200+ million years of evolution.

I think that is an Ignorant comment, humans are not meant to be in the ocean if they were we would have fins and gills, this animal is the ultimate Preditor which has no equal except other sharks.....people fear what they don't understand
