Vik, On the contrary. I think all things being equal the GT will match the 360 on a tight track, walk away on a medium track, & demolish it on a long track.
Nowhere would the 360 have the advantage. I did a 1:01 in my 360 at Limerock on a 75 degree day with Sticky Michelin pilot Sport Cups (Virtually race slicks), and I was pushing in ideal conditions without a passenger. I did a low 1:02 in the GT with the stock street tires (Goodyear eagle F1 Supercars) in 30-40 degree weather, while being extra cautious, with a passenger. It was too cold to get enough heat in the tires to really make them stick. I put a Pyrometer on the GT's tires & they were 106 degrees. They need to be up near 200 degrees to work. I'm quite sure had the 360 not failed that day it would have also been in the 1:02's at best due to the track temps. Bottom line I think the 360 would have done simiar times on much better tires on a tight track. The GT really doesn't get to use its relative advantage at Limerock. I was on full throttle very little, mostly the front straight and very little elsewhere.

That's really what I meant. The comment was directed at the fact that it was a shorter track. But seems like a hellavu a car regardless.

Pete, A couple cars did get banged up. Probably the combination of cold track temps but a confidence inspiring sunny day and the first event of the season did it.
