    If the feed pressure is constant the pressure will increase with a smaller pipe vs. a larger pipe, minus the friction loss per feet of hose and friction loss per elbows. A smaller pipe could reduce the inlet pressure that's why constant inlet pressure is a measure of outlet pressure.

    It's only just begun..... The larger the hose the easier it is to get more head :D Seriously :D Unfortunately I'm no engineer and can't explain the specifics.... try this for a quicky explanation.
