    WOW!

I love drooling over someone else´s collection.

At first glance my jealousy is mostly pointed towards the BBR (IDEA?) 641/2.

Is there a 365 GT 2+2 somewhere in there?

    Howdy!

I fell in love with your garage in a previous thread, and now I'm falling in love with your collection! Beautiful!

I collect vintage Corgi Toys cars, mostly from the 60's. I inherited about a dozen models, adding slowly to the collection.

What scale are your cars? (especially the ones w/ the red Ferrari 18-wheeler)

The pictures speak for themselves (because my jaw just hit the floor).

    :p

How long have you been at this? Is this all in your garage?

    Thanks!

I've been collecting since 1992 or so. Most the models on display are my BBR in 1/43 scale. Ive since sold alot and had about 2000 models at one point.

I actually only have one Ferrari 1/12 scale model and that is the Kyosho F40. I also have a Renault by Tamiya as a built kit. Although at one point I had 2 versions of the F50, the Enzo, the MB CLK and 4-5 more Tamiya built kits. I also used to have two Rosso 1/8 F1. One with a Detail kit, one w/o. Pocher F40 & testarossa & 4 Amalgam F1s.

The collection is in my garage and the display cases are by ACI. The Ferrari transporters are by Brianza, Old Cars in 1/43 scale and Herpa in 1/87

I do have some larger scales left. Those are the 512bb (by MC?) in 1/14 resin, the Posiltil F1 in 1/14 (I think?) and the 312PB in the last picture (also resin) in 1/14 scale as well. I might still have my 1/14 scale 288 GTO by Brianza in a box too.

    I wouldn't even call it a garage any more: it's a showroom.

Next time I go to Ferrari/Maserati of Ontario, I'll take pictures of their display case to compare (who wants to one up Remo?)...

    :p

It is actually a 1200 sq/ft guest house. It has a bedroom/kitchen and the main room you see with the car. I have a "normal" 4 car garage, but this was specifically designed to be a Ferrari shrine, model room, mini theater, office & garage.....oh the things we do for our hobbies.

    Picture #5:

    Ferrari Tic Tacs?!?

Edit: Personally, I wouldn't sell any of it. Ever. The collection's just too great (and I don't mean in size). Honestly, after putting all the effort in... Then there's the fact you'd have a large empty space where it used to be and you'd miss it dearly...

Man, thank God you posted that photo - I'll be able to show my wife that I'm 'normal' and have a long way to go before I'm certified as a Ferrari or Lamborghini nutter!

Seriously amazing though - if I can ever have something like that as part of my home I'll die happy. Fezza looks a bit lonely though, would look good with a Gallardo to keep it company. Good on ya!

Well it kinda went like this...

I had my 2000 models. I reached a point where I could not display even 1/2 of them. I had tens of thousands of dollars tied up. (even with BBRs costing me import prices). People called ScaleCars and started asking for this, that and whatever. For years I said "Sold Out"...then I said "Sold Out but I have one in my collection". People offered silly money for some of the items...and I started selling.

To be honest...2000 is a buttload of models. Alot were in their boxes still. What I have now is a much easier collection to deal with.

btw - nosecone is 1999 Schumacher. I bought it from the Ferrari Galleria in Oct 2000. It was made by the Ferrari Race Dept as a replica/ non functional nose cone.
