Hello, I have an 83/84 512 bbi which although running very strong and smooth just lit up the left most warning light on the speedo. All it has is an exclamation point. I do not have manuals. Can anyone "illuminate me on what the possible faults are for this light? The searches I have done have not thrown any light on the situation. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Mario
Thats the "Oh S**t" Light! Seriousely, I have no idea. I'll look in my manuals when I get home tonight though. Sorry I couldn't help right now, someone will chime in shortly I'm sure. Welcome BTW. DMAX
Usually (!) in red means problem with braking system I guess this is pretty universal Check brake fluid level
The far left red warning light (on the tach dial) is for the "brake system". It lights up when the hand brake is engaged, but I also believe it may come on if the car is low on brake fluid too. Try checking the brake fluid reservoir level.
Thanks guys. It was the tach not the speedo. I checked the brake fluid level and it is good and the fluid looks good too. I hadn't thought about the parking brake. Maybe the the contact is sketchy. Thanks for the input. DMAX I ahve been "lurking" for a long time and have always appreciated the discussion on this group. I love my BB and although I am now in the process of negotiating for a 575, I can't bring myself to part with my bb. I'll try to post pictures of them together!
I've read about the gathering. I've never been to one of those but I've heard they are good fun. I'll see if I can swing it with the family!
Yes, of course, you can get them in chrome if you like. Wouldnt a set of balls on the back of a ferrari be so fitting, the whole testosterone thing brought to new levels.
Check the float and float connections on each of the brake fluid containers. They are removable if memory serves. Regards, Drew Altemara
