I just had my 15k mile service done 3 months ago

So today I am driving and the car starts to overheat and the steering becomes rough so I pull over and notice that the car is leaking fluid.

I had the car towed to my local dealer but any Ideas what is wrong?

what color was the fluid? was it radiator fluid? overheating and steering probs together should be pretty simple to identify the root cause of. not much commonality there. might be as simple as a loose fan belt.

my guess is your dealer will know within 1 hour of looking at the car.

It was a loose belt which caused the problem only an $800.000 fix not bad at all.

Can not pick up untill Friday though

Was driving in, I see some water drops and bunch of water vapor smoke, steering is rough, and temp goes off the scale...thinking similar issue. Having it checked out.

Bet it's the belt- the water pump and power steering are driven off the same one.

Hopefully, it won't cost $800 to replace a $25 belt and fluids !!

Did a compression test just in case a gasket blew - came in flying colors all around 200. Nice.
Ordered the belt, having it installed, and a check to make sure the belts don't 'jump'

just an update on what happened to me. Water pump belt got shredded. Replaced it, checked to make sure no additional damage (all good) replaced alternator while at it. Has been trouble free since.
