Grettings. I own one to two 348's that were imported to NA in Verde Scuro (Dark Metallic Green) with Cream leather. I am trying to get an idea of where I should go to get an idea of what to ask for it. Car needs nothing, fully serviced, tubi, rare with all docs and I have documentation for Ferrari NA to Document that states there were only 2 348's brought in to the US. Any feedback would be appreciated.

I'm going to guess with that color combo, it would be a few thousand less than a red/blk or red/tan in the same condition/milage and service. Remember there is a reason only 2 were brought in to NA. Most of the time, if a car didn't sell well new because of color, it usually doesn't sell easily in the second hand market. Reduce the price a bit compared to the reds, and be patient for the right buyer. Good luck.

It'll follow published values, for the year......as stated, the trick will be to find the "green" owner....they are out there, it's a nice color on the car....

If you want to sell it fast go with a slightly lower price than the comparable favored color year and mileage examples. If you have the stock exhaust you might want to put it back on the car and sell the Tubi seperately. You could probably get between $1500-$2000 for the used Tubi. I don't think you would see any price dropoff without the Tubi when you sell the car. If you want top dollar, put it at what the market letters say, and wait for the right buyer. You might try consigning the car at a top dealer. Good luck.

Where do I find publised values other than asking prices on the FML?

Thanks Fellas, Not that it matters to many, but this car was sold long before it arrived on shore. We orded it this way. At any rate, I will take the photos and post and wait for the right buyer. Taking the Tubi off and selling it seperatly is a great idea, I should have done that while it was in the shop getting serviced. I still might. I hardly doubt that the Tubi will sell the car alone. Whoever buys this car is going to appriciate the color and the fact that it is so rare.

Keep in mind that FML only publishes asking prices, actual sales price will likely be different.

I agree that you should price it at market and wait for the buyer that loves the color. As the owner of an 'off color' car, I know we're out there.

    Couple of ideas:

    1. Get the car appraised, with no discussion of actually selling it. Michael Sheehan does the vintage cars - maybe he could point you to someone who does the more modern cars. Ferrari of Seattle might help - just make it clear that you're selling it yourself and don't want to trade it in.

    2. Follow eBay auctions for 348's from reputable dealers. It can take some work to find cars that have actually sold.

Also, as mentioned, verde scuro will likely sell for less than red or black. True, the buyer will be someone who loves the color, but the population of buyers willing to boldly go where few other Ferrari buyers have gone before is going to be small.

FWIW, my car's a rare color - nero metallico. It tends to get priced the same as a regular nero car, which suits me fine.

Rare and 348 do not go together...and remember, while valuable cars are always rare, rare cars are not always valuable...

A color other than black, yellow , or red is RARE if you are selling it, OFF if you are buying. But to get an idea, look on cars.com, Collectorcartraderonline.com, autoextra.com, and drautos.com (dupont registry). That will give you a good idea of what the current market asking prices are. And they are closer to the actual selling price than the FML prices will be.

    IMO,
I think the color is going to hurt the resale value. Most first time F car buyers seem to want a "resale red" car.

Thanks!!! I got enough to get started!! The idea of selling the Tubi was sizzle and put more money back in my pocket. I just spoke to the shop and they told me they could get me $2k for it and only change me $200 to swap it out since I just dropped some coin there on the service.

I will post some pics this weekend for those of you who have PM'D asking for them.

    Thanks for the help!

Just to let you know, there may not be a really big market for that colour 348. There is a 348 here in Aus that has been for sale for around 2 years i reckon, maybe 3,not over priced, with Tubi and it seems no one is keen on the colour. Thats all i can put it down it. Its the only one ive ever seen also for sale,or pics of it too. Good luck anyways,if you havent sold it already :)

Ferrari Market Letter is for dreamers. Dream sellers that is. If you pay attention to FML when figuring out what to pay for a Ferrari, you're getting ready to get your head taken off.

It may be a rare color, but it's not one of the normal resale colors. I had a white/tan 328 which I sold last year. The color combination on the 328 was beautiful, but it took a year to sell. I finally went through the dealer consignment service and he sold it within a few months. If the car was red/tan I know that it would have sold fast and for 3k-5k more.

I suggest that you giving the car a great home is more important that how much money you get. I would say the best place would be in a dry environment like Keller Texas. This is really an area friendly to Ferrari’s. I am sure he would pay for the shipping at least.

over the last 6 months of searching before I bought mine I found 3 green 348's so they are not as rare as people like to think. FWIW these sellers were willing to take $7500-$10000 less than market value of a red one... Like I said this is not based on any facts just my shopping exp.
