How did they look when done? Did they deliver on time as promised.

I need to rebuild on left hand manifold and would rather use a USA company instead of the guys in the UK. But I also want to use someone who I can rely on.

Who here has used the guys in the UK? What did they charge for 1 manifold? How long did it take to get back?

    Thanks,

    - Bill

I used QV London...I forget the cost (maybe 900 pounds for both sides), but you can call them to get an estimate. Trust me, save yourself the headache, and go ahead and do them both. While the passenger side goes most frequently, it is inevitable that the driver's side will let go eventually as well. Don't forget you will need new gaskets, and new copper nuts as well. I would order a couple spare studs too, just in case.

If you can't get the NA performance headers go with Tubi. If you go with QV make damn sure that you clearly state on the fedex bill that the import fees are to be paid by QV! Otherwise you'll end up paying 600.00USD in VAT. Don't ask how I know this.

After I got my QV headers back I scoped them. The welds are not clean and several places in the header the pipes overlapped and hung into the exhaust flow. It did't seem to make any difference to the car.

Just spend the extra money on tubi headers.

We've rebuilt two sets so far, neither of which are on this forum to my knowledge. The reason we haven't pushed them as much as our F355 manifolds are because our F355 manifolds are proven. People have been running them for nearly a year now under all types of conditions. We offer our rebuilds with a warranty but it's not something I'm comfortable pushing yet. A month is not enough time to determine how well these will work.

Only headers I can really recommend to you are mine, Tubi, and Nick at Forza Ferrari's. Mine are 2-3 weeks out for 2.7 and 4 weeks out for 5.2 as of 04/12/06 1:17 a.m. (subject to change if we get more orders). Tubi are not easy to get ahold of. They are usually available but Tubi doesn't sell them to everyone. I talked to Nick and he's 3 weeks out on the 5.2 and 2.7 is supposed to begin production.

QV London seems to offer a great service but for the price you pay for their rebuild and even my rebuild. You could be sitting on a set of brand new headers. And while QV London warranties their headers to my knowledge, if warranty work needs to be done, sending headers back and forth to London gets expensive unless they cover that cost also.

Also I've had a few customers call me and order my manifolds after rebuilds have failed. Not saying rebuilds will fail, but they're not exactly bulletproof like many people assume they are.

    I hope that helps.
