Interesting, it might be one you have to hit a small place to find. Definitely worth the effort though. I'll 2nd Lord of War, fantastic movie, as was Crash. Thanks for the ideas, quite a few I haven't seen in a while that I had totally forgotten. Heck I may break down and go see Ice Age 2, that squirrel cracks me up to no end. (on principle alone I hate paying $10/ticket to see a freaking movie)
Was "Crash" really that good? I still haven't seen it. I tend to avoid the movies that have been hyped because people get me excited about them and I'm generally let down a bit.
How about the Crusades? "Kingdom of Heaven" is very good, Ridley Scott directed, great cast, story, and production. "Brokeback" was also very good...yes, as Rob previously noted there were about 5 minutes of queasy scenes, otherwise insightful and emotionally complex drama...my wife did love it.
Just get any crap love story... put it in the DVD player.... tell you wife your just going to get a beer... and get back on F-Chat.
A good movie I recommend to people when asked what to rent is "Blood In Blood Out. I believe the title may have been changed to "Bound by Honor". The only recognizable actor in the movie that I recall is Benjamin Bratt.
Rented Flightplan this weekend, it was pretty good. Eurotrip is a great comedy as well as Super Troopers. My wife even liked them. BT
