and I'm very pleased with it. While it's still not quite as good as a Kyosho, it is much better than anything HW has given us in the past.

Overall the car looks great... the seats are the only goofy bit - looks like a red fur ball

Darn it, you had to post pictures. I ordered one today and put a 288 GTO on pre-order. I was going to pass on the Elite models, since I already had the F40 and GTO, but they look too good.

By the way, Wine Valley Diecast in Napa ordered two cases of each model, if you need to find one.

Eric and anyone who has purchased one,

Is there a particular site you are purchasing the Elite series from or just Ebay'ed them? Normally I nab my Hotwheels 1:18 Ferraris off Towerhobby.com but they have yet to list any of the Elite set. I do not trust Exoticar at all unless it is in stock. Any one place that sticks out for good deals and having them and/or the ability to successfuly pre/order them? Thanks for the info.

    Eric, Paul and Mule,

Thanks for the replies. I will try Mintmodels on the eve of the 575 SA and FXX going for sale. Mule, I would try your source but I am always hesitant for places where I can not view the item via a quality web site. I am also considering an older personal choice in legacydiecast.com where I purchased a few Exotos on clearance. If you are not aware of that site I suggest an occasional peek to see any bargains you can find, ( as I once picked up the Exoto Prost F1 Ferrari for 100 bucks.) Regardless, thanks for the heads up and contact info on your sources.

I pre-ordered the F-40 along with a few others, they not only notified me that it was being shipped, but sent me the tracking information along the way and sent me notice that it had been delivered and who signed for it. Great service and the customer service is excellent if you need to call.
