I had to disconnect my hydraulic line to the clutch. I have it hooked back up but cannot get the clutch to bleed. I have nothing but fluid coming out, but absolutely no pedal pressure. What am I doing wrong? I have never had such trouble before. I have done a bunch of Hydraulic clutches on other cars with no problems.
Master cylinder is full, in fact I went through a whole large bottle trying to fix this. Please help
    BTW the car is a 1990 348
    Thanks Mike

Michael, I was in the same boat. Just recently re-bled the clutch on my 348. I heard you have to jack up the rear of the car for air bubbles to move in the right direction (??), and don't waste your time with the two-man method. Get a power bleeder or a air pressure bleeder (i picked mine up at Kragen for ~50$).

Im not sure i understand your question totally Mike. You have clutch fluid coming out of the bleed nipple, when you bleed the clutch slave cylinder,but............ you cannot get any gears with the clutch pedal depressed?? Is that what you are saying?? :)

When i did my clutch 2 months ago,i had to bleed the clutch, because i removed the salve body, and we did the 2 man bleed method, without a hitch. Without jacking the car up also. I first crakced the bleed nipple on the side of the pumpkin and let it "gravity bleed" by itself. It took around 2 mins for the fluid to come through, then done a simple pump and bleed (6 times) and it was perfect. :)

Thats what I am saying. I get nothing but fluid when I bleed it. The pedal takes no effort at all to push to the floor however. Seems like maybe there is a large air pocket somewhere. I will try the jacking method first then buy a power bleeder.

I had exactly the same problem a year ago with my '90 348 (whats' your serial number) after doing major service. I could get absolutely no pedal pressure. I worked with it for an hour then gave up and slept on it overnight. The next day I tried again but this time, with a tube connected to the bleed nipple into a jar half full of fluid, I pumped hard and fast about 20 - 50 times and suddenly it all worked - the pedal pressure came back all of a sudden as it seemed to "prime itself." Nothing but black fluid for a few minutes, then nice and clear. Not a problem since.

Presure is the only way to do it. You can sit there all day doing it with your foot and angling the car but the only way I found effective was to pressurize the system.

I am sure its possible the other way I was just to impatient to wait.

Black hydraulic fluid usually means the rubber hose(s) are beginning to break down. You might want to check that out.

I figured it out. Took lots of fluid and pressurizing the system.
Ok any body want to buy a 348 before I do some real damage to this thing? I think I am going to sell it and buy a Z06 like I wanted.

That's funny...do what I did I have both! Anyway I was the inventor of the tilted ass method of bleeding. It works two man 100% of the time. You get more pressure two man with the foot than you can with pressure bleeders. Problem is many people open the pumkin bleeder too much. This is a crappy corse thread that lets air in when you bleed as well as the throwout anular bearing trapping air high in the system.
