Has FChat been more boring over the last two weeks?

  1. No change in my opinion

  2. It's been OK, but not as fun as a month ago

  3. With the new rules, I don't visit as much

  4. I miss the good 'ol days'

  5. Ban Pete for posting this!

My first "friend" was really nice until I saw him going around smoking, then I tryed to help him stop by bringing him from IL to GA for 2 weeks to get off it, that didn't help it got worse. The guy looked sheet white.

Well the sandbox you're referring to is actually quite heavily used, 6-8 threads in the last couple of days, a couple of hundred posts or more between them. Also, OOT in general seems to be demonstrating the new decorum requested by Rob.

Having said that, a civil discussion on the rules changes and its aftermath doesn't itself have to be bound to the sandbox. Considering that there are two populations, Backroom and OOT, that are affected by the changes; discussing it in a forum where both have access makes sense.

P.S. Scenes of drug use are usually considered PG-13 or higher and, if we follow that theme, ought to be banished to the sandbox.

P.P.S. If PeterS were being totally fair, he should have added an option for "Things are better" in his poll.

Whew, I thought you might have been saying I reminded you of a 60's, black rock singer with a large afro, very pointed collars on my shirt and wide bell-bottom pants. I kinda grew out of that phase a couple of years ago......

I hope that was meant to be funny. If mocking, you don't have kids. By looks of your profile, I can't tell and don't know you, but focking around with a good kid is not cool. Sorry if we sound like a PSA, but when you have a child who relies on family to give values, and lots of other people try to screw up those values, that child's life can be forever focked. PERIOD. SO it wasn't funny.

The attitute of the child depends on the parents. Like all the kids at my school all their parents are alcoholics or druggies. I get to see where they get that from=\

Robbie is a good guy. He is a cop, so he does a lot to help everyone. I don't think he was trying to be funny or mess with zupra.

Again, what would your parents think about someone relating stories about drug abuse and suicide to you, anywhere, not just here?

Surely you cannot really mean that "all the kids at my school all their parents are alcoholics or druggies". That is a very bold statement and perhaps could use some tempering. Perhaps some of the kids you have been exposed to have less than desirable parents but to say all may be too broad.....

But most of it is somthing they saw from parents or maybe from parents friends.

And I wasn't really saying all the kids got it from parents. But maybe one started and the rest joined in.

Hi Yin. Dunno if better is it, just different.
    Zupra:
PS is post script, additional thought at end of note.
PPS is post post script, second afterthought.
Sandbox is the limited access OOT created for the old guys to"sling feces" in.
Be glad you're a kid in high school. Old people just get nasty when they disagree. My stepson turns 19 tomorrow, great kid, way more boring than I was at his age. A good thing.
Classmate of his got drunk, killed mother, 2yo son, and crippled daughter and dad with his pickup driving drunk. Family are idiots, bought him F350 so"he wouldn't get hurt". Sure didn't, lived to endure vehicular manslaughter trials.
285: If you're a cop, and it wasn't mocking, sorry. Too much of that crap around here anymore.
James:When you're 14, it is usually all or nothing. My class in highschool had some burnouts, but class behind us was primarily burnouts. Save for Alex Payne, who has done well for himself and cinema.
