The edge of the rims stick out past the sidewall of the tires. spacers won't help this, they will just move the whole wheel out.The tires footprint needs to be larger.
Spence, 255 on 10.5" rims?!?! That seems awfully narrow for that size rim. Does the tire manufacturer recommend that application? I would think that you should have to go with a 265 or wider. Unfortunately, there doesn't appear to be many options if you want to keep the dia around 25" according to tirerack. Where'd you get those wheels?

hanknum, I agree with your observations regarding the "footprint". As for the wheels, it seems that SPEEDLINE and COMPOMOTIVE are doing those wheels in customer requested widths. Cheers, Hank
judge, The 308 is looking sweet. ? for ya. - - Are all your ground pounders here in the USA or do you keep something available in China - or wherever? Do you & Spicey have a clue as to what you guys will be driving next? - - - I'm sure you do Cheers & great health. Hank
Hey Hank, How come I only get a "Cheers", when Judge got a "Cheers & great health"? Don't you want me to be healthy too? Seriously though, I hope YOUR doing well. How's Rachel doing? Hank
All of the cars stayed stateside and we repatriated at the end of February. The Mondial is in the garage and the 365 will be joining it soon. The 308 still needs a major service before it comes "home", so it is still with the mechanic. As for what is next, there are a few cars on the potential list, but 2006 is budgeted as a home improvement year, not a car buying year.
I like that silver audi in the backround, all you need now is a blazer and you have the whole magnum fleet! nice 308
OK, I'll play. 1978 308GTS #26449. Just hit 62,000 miles. Oh, and a 05' Duck. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks , it just rides a little rougher than it did stock. The spoiler hits driveway aprons if I'm not careful. On road bumps ,no problems.
They are new version of the QV reproductions. Very very nice quality though. Purchased through GT Car Parts. I didn't ask where he bought them. Bill likes them so I trusted him. I kept the 14's but decent tires are becoming hard to come by in that size.
Even rarer with navy blue carpet! Red white and blue. How twisted is that! And yes, a VERY happy owner!
No spacers needed. Bolted right on. Just a realigment to 16' wheel specs. Otherwise the steering gets a little vague in center.
