i dunno WAX, im not happy, but i have not seen anywhere else to go to. i have a short list of cars i would like to own, and i have been thinking of working on Gulfstream Jets overseas. i bet Germany would be a blast, and i could meet Mr. Wolfgang! :)

    wish list :

Lotus Esprit Turbo, Ferrari 308GT4 and Lamborghini Urraco (or) Jalpa . maybe a Porsche 930 Turbo, but i would have to learn how the drive the damn thing and not kill myself :) !

still have the GTB here too .......

i wanted a 930 turbo in a BAD WAY, but several friends with LOTS of Porsche experience talked me out of getting one. JFRAZAR on here owns 2 car dealerships and had picked this car up for part of his collection. after borrowing it several times ( thanks Joe) i asked if i could buy it.

    next is a carb 308 or a lotus turbo / old Lambo . :)

and i am going to **TRY** to keep this one around for awhile.

anyone know where to get H4 headlights and the Euro rear amber 911 tail lights ( cheap !) :)

oh yea , car is a euro spec 84 Carrera. it even had the unopened Medical Kit in it, which i thought was cool.

i will do another thread on this Green One later. i really like the color, i am hoping to clean it up tomorrow as i am not going in to work.

Green is a very cool color for 911s, I get tons of compliments on my 930 especially from women.

Don't believe everything bad about 930s, its a documented fact 930s have always had the lowest warranty claim rate of all the 911s, they are very overbuilt and strong basically a race car out of the box.

    nice car BTW

PLEASE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! post some more pics of your car !!!!!! wow !

i keep hearing how expensive 930's are to fix when something goes wrong, and that the engines need to be rebuilt at around 60k miles or so ( ???) . several of the cars i have looked at had over 100k miles on them and they had never been taken apart. i didnt want to buy a hand grenade, so i bought a ( very cheap) 911 Carrera to play with until i find another Italian car. i hope to keep the 911 for a year or so.

trying to find : cat test pipe, H4 headlights, euro amber rear lenses and a inside rearview mirror. i am hoping Joe at German Auto Dismantlers in ( outside of ) Atlanta can help.

I disagree about 930s having "issues". As a past Porsche guy, I can attest to their build quality.

As BULLETPROOF as the 911 motors are, the 930 motors are only SLIGHTLY less bulletproof.

Serious. If I had a 930 in only AVERAGE shape, I would not hesitate to drive it to California and back. 99.9% of the time, it makes the trip without so much as a hiccup.

930s are at the TOP of the food chain when it comes to performance AND reliability.

How many other 20-30 year old cars can you think of with 300+ HP and reliability that would allow you to drive them cross country without issues??

    None.

"S" is the model with the removable top. "B" is the hard top.

i very much prefer hard top cars to "t-top" or removable top cars. the GTS has much wider sills in the door frames and is a bit heavier.

some of us prefer the clean lines and a few less pounds of the GTB over the GTS. the GTS usually sells for more on the used car market.

i would rather not ever buy another GTS after my 78 that i had. my 77GTB just drove so much nicer.

The drive is different and there are moments for each. A matched set would be nice to have in the garage. I wonder if I can convince Spicy to reconsider the "no more Ferraris" statement...

i just have the 911 and my trusty yellow truck. sold the 3 ferrari's, 2 lambos, the purple 911sc. this is over 2 years time. i tend to buy more in the winter when others are snowed in. :) i may consider another Urraco or Dino308gt4. i need to buy another house so the high dollar cash cars are "out".
