    Jim,

    Let them laugh!

I have designed one and now planning to have the metal stamped. Will be powder coated in black.

It will be placed in front of the center console ahead of the shift gate and secured in place by the center console housing.

I am addicted to diet coke and with a 6 speed w/o a passenger, it's a bit difficult to say the least!

Stay tuned and remember what marie antoinette said!

I always used a plastic one from Wal-Mart in my 550; it hung nicely from the window on the driver's side and never spilled my Diet Coke. All for about $1.00. Available in several colors to match your leather.

The driving experience without a Diet Coke would be like putting a silencer on the engine :)

I would say it would be worse than that!

I feel like I'm among brothers.

I pound back between 6-8 DC's per day. I'm convinced that Diet Coke is the elixir of the Gods.

That one time you spill I bet your going to be ticked off. My personal liking is not to have any beverages in the car, pretty much any car.

I guess I could understand needing one for the 360, but a cup holder for the Exige?

I've probably spent more money on cupholders than anyone would ever consider reasonable. I have several different models in my workshop from past attempts, ranging from the $1.00 Walmart window hanging cups (that splashed when I shut the car door) to a $125.00 leather covered collapsable duo made for a 348. Unfortunately I was trying to fit them into a Mondial T and it didn't work out.

Just last week I purchased a pair for my 360 Spider from www.ultimatecupholders.com. Sits on the ground and has a metal upper bracket that slips under the center console. No screws, no glue, etc. Hardly noticable. I've not had them in long enough to give a whole-hearted endorsement, but they are the best I've found so far. Looks like the photo below.

The inner liner is black even though it looks purple in my lousy photo. The website doesn't list a Ferrari fitment. I've tried both the E39 and E46 versions. the E39 version fits better. A bit loose at the top, ergo the need for a good road test. I'll be driving the car alot this week, so will get to know the cupholders better by weekend :)

^^^ Lou, I've got the same cupholder in my wifes E39. Works pretty well on larger bottles, but not so well with cans.

OK, here's a post of a cupholder I found that works great. I posted this on the Lotus site awhile back. Since the photo was taken the cupholders have changed a little. They are now manufactured all black instead of dark gray. I use one in my F430 as well.

Every time I see a pic of anything extra in the footwell I get the creeps, what if it comes undone and rolls behind the brake pedal ? But then again it's just me...

It might be time to switch over to espresso. After that, you can move right on over to mainlining it.

I've got the plastic wedge from walmart. Goes between the seat and the "tunnel." Works fine. So does ASM.

And I did once spill my coffee in my spider.
