Nope - no posts deleted whatsoever. Any deleted posts are marked as such. Further, only editing on this thread has been by authors on their own posts.
I don't know what changes you are referring to but it seems like there is less activity recently. Or maybe I am constantly on the site and have run out of things that interest me lately. BT
Only changes are stricter rules for OOT, but same still goes for Backroom Lounge, have you looked there?
Yeah. I have kind of concluded that I am here too much. When I visit only two or three times a day it seems like there is more new stuff. Checking in every 10 minutes is a bit too much. I don't think whatever 'changes' have been made really makes a difference to me. BT
No, it's not necessary for me, because I don't mind reading anything ! But there are people out there who seem to feel better not even seeing a part of the board. I guess it's the same reason why they feel better with an ignore feature. I dunno, just throwing ideas out there.
I havent replied to these scurrilous attacks because, unlike some of you, I have a life. I also have had some reservations about responding because, in my previous post, I forgot that the reading comprehension skills of the most people (and apparently 99% of the frequent posters on Ferrari Chat) has sunk to the level of Homer Simpson. Duh! Based on what some of you posted, I am left wondering if perhaps you were reading a different thread. (For example, I havent a clue where all this suicide crap came from.) For those of you slow on the uptake, this means that if you didnt understand what I said the first time around, it is highly unlikely that youll get it this time around. But they say that hope springs eternal. So, against my better judgment, Ill try one more time. What motivated my previous post was to express my frustration about Peter starting yet another crybaby thread in OOT whining about Robs Spring cleaning plans. Seriously, there has already been, what, a half-a-dozen threads griping about the recent changes? Are any of you familiar with the phrase, Get over it? More importantly, Rob built a nice little playground just for you. It has a swing set and a merry-go-round, and you get to talk dirty all day long. So whats the problem? Then it dawned on me. Your real problem is that Rob put up a privacy fence around your new playground. This means that the rest of the world will not get to see what tough guys you really are. It is no fun being a bully if nobody is watching. Based on past experience, I doubt that my comments are going to change your behavior. I expect that youll continue to rant and cry about how mean everybody is to you and how you simply cannot imagine that the rest of the world doesnt give a rats behind about what you think. However, I would like to sign off with some personal comments for three of you. The rest can take a hike. PeterS: You owe Rob an apology for starting this thread. Not only has Rob let you get away with free advertising for your business over the years (if you recall, I even brought something from you), but your continued bashing of his business is over the top. And, yes, just in case you missed the memo, Ferrari Chat is a business just like yours. Morever, I doubt that you would show the same patience if Rob posted over and over again on your businesss website about what a bum you are. Think about it. I didnt care for Lamours posts, but at least he had the personal integrity to leave when he didnt like what happened. Darth: Whats happened to you? You have grown more and more mean spirted. I can remember when you used to make cool comments about driving your car. I also enjoyed meeting you at Monterey, but you clearly have a chip on your shoulder. I dont know whether it comes from your stint as a moderator or if you are unhappy about how Ferrari Chat has changed. Whatever it is, you need to take a chill pill. After all, this is just an Internet chat board. Personally, Im not real thrilled about all the changes. If it were up to me (and youre probably glad that its not), Id like to go back to a smaller group. Id also do away with P&R and keep a real tight rein on OOT. But, I still enjoy coming here for some right-brained stuff about Ferraris and cars, and, believe it or not, I ignore everything else most of the time. I just thought (and still do) that this thread was over the line. Sfumato: You need to give it up about Art. It really doesnt matter what you and I might think or know about the past, Rob is not going to permanently ban Art unless he pulls another stunt. So dont waste the blood pressure. Art is Art. You cant be a Catcher in the Rye for everybody. Remember, Art is a trained litigator. Because I used to do expert witness work, I recognize his techniques. He is deliberately trying to get your goat. Dont let him win. About Telaio, I havent a clue what happened and could care less. Personally, I find this obsession about chassis numbers to be a little bit weird. Im more much into the experience of these cars, not who owned them and when. At any rate, this is Ferrari Chat, not Telaio. I, for one, would love to hear more about the cars you have driven. Two last preemptive points: 1. Some of you will probably whine that I shouldnt be airing dirty laundry in public. Too bad. If Peter and the rest of his crew will stop whining in public, Ill be happy to go off line. 2. I am not Rob Lays sycophant. (Look it up if you dont know what this means.) I dont have any ownership interest in Ferrari Chat, nor do I intend to. A while back, I did give Rob some free tax advice, which was worth what he paid for it. More recently, though, we have exchanged some pretty heated PMs where Rob said that I was part of the problem, not the future. (Those of you who know Rob understand that he can be somewhat hot and hard headed.) Thus, I was surprised with his recent changes because I was under the impression that he wasn't going to do anything. So, if you dont like whats happening here, I strongly suggest that you send Rob a PM expressing your comments. Trust me, he will respond. Finally, I do have an academic interest in the transition from print to online publishing. Everybody in the publishing world is trying to figure out what the future holds, and nobody really knows what is going to happen, other than it is unlikely that we will return to a print dominated media. Thus, I find it interesting to follow the evolution of an online community like Ferrari Chat. Unfortunately, after a great start, it appears that the mental age of some frequent posters has been regressing back to puberty. I am hopeful that some of you will follow the example of DES/Sickshift/Carbon and move in the other direction. Dale

1) I owe nobody an apology. 2) You enjoy talking down to the masses that waste their time reading your mindless dribble. Sorry, but most of us are well educated and know what sycophant means.
I have an innate respect for intelligent people, people like you, Dr Tax, but you are saying some things that don't sync with your actions. I won't enumerate them for the sake of brevity and logic. You know what I am talking about when you look at yourself in the mirror. You cannot escape that. I have to wonder what happened to Dr. Tax in the few short years that I have been here. Dr Who, who really?
OK, chill out guys. Everything has been said already, we know the positions and it isn't going to get resolved in a thread. Everyone has their opinion what FerrariChat.com should be. I do listen to all feedback and try to make the best decisions with the information I have. It is a moving target and there will always have to be adjustments. I appreciate everyone's participation over the years and passion. However, to meet everyone's needs we would have to have 28,000 FC's. I do the best I can, there is some frustration when users like Peter and a couple UK users don't respect that. I can't make everyone happy, but I'll keep trying.
i didn't see any 'actions'. people are still talking about ferraris and other exotica. it's all good.
