Given the current market, nothing selling etc, CS's can't be realistically at £115k, what do people think the real price of a good CS is? As for the F430, how does it rate compared to it's predecessor? And.... F1 or Manual transmission? which is best? I'm seriosuly troubled!!! Thanks, James
Discount for cash - give me £ 114500 and I'll find you a lovely CS - seriously if you'd been looking recently you'd have seen at least one franchise car at about £ 100000
When you say nothing selling, What are you basing this on? We had a thread on another forum a while back, and amongst a membership of around 100 owners, we had 16 transactions between us already this year (buying and selling) in just three months. Several of those were CS and 430s. It quite a fluid market at the moment, I think.
Sorry, here is a link to the thread decribing the volume of sales: http://******************/showthread.php?t=4306
The answer possibly also depends on how deep your pockets are unless this is a fantasy - the 430 could cost £ 50000 more than the CS and at your given age & location even less insurable !
Pockets are deep enough! I'm researching on behalf of my dad anyway, he's the one with the cash. He's got it in for F1 transmissions, and so is putting the CS out the window, even though many people seem to think it a better car than the 430.
I always thought the F1 box was crap. That was until I sat in CS and now im converted. The gears were just BANG BANG BANG going through the box. Absolutely awesome experience. My next car is a 456 and its a damn shame they didnt make an f1 box for that. But in a few years when I buy the 612, im gonna make sure it has one. Dont knock it till you try it mate.
My personal choice was CS. I wanted something a little more exclusive and I prefer the lines of the 360 - although i'm sure the lines of the 430 will grow on me as time goes by. I was unsure of the F1 box when i first made the transition from manual, but having driven the f1 in anger through some testing roads last november against some manual fcars i would conclude that the F1 is now my prefferred choice. I'd go for the 430 if you can afford it as it offers CS performance in 360 comfort. 360 CS's are now around the £100k mark but F430's are still list and above. Worth noting that there is supposed to be a F430 CS being launched next year which will impact 360 CS prices.
CS for me too. It's very debatable whether a "CS" version of 430 will be offered . I've only seen one official CS offered @ £100k and i believe that car's now sold .
Tony, Any group photos of your car and the other Stradales that frequent this board? They would make an awesome convoy...
Congratulations Tony, it looks so at home there! Couldnt bring yourself to move away from the red and go for the TDF blue?Did you get rid of the 355? All the best Jamie
